agree what is the need of Hafeez and Afrid bowling 10 overs?

didn't they just had enough warm up in NZ? Shoulnd't Junaid Khan and Ajmal be given chance to get the feeling..one is brand new to INtl cricket and the other hasn't bowl since God knows when..

our management and cappo is full of retard...Inti was right
 
Spinners came to the rescue again. The quickies worry me, maybe a little rusty?
 
Excellent win by Pakistan, should give them a huge confidence boost. Bangla is no longer a weak side either.

The result is not hugely important.

Will give the management plenty to think about:

1, How did they field?
2, The batting order needs to reviewed.
3, Fast bowlers need more control, esp. at the beginning of the innings.
4, When they have a platform to launch an attack, they need to take advantage of it. They wasted that today.

I am really afraid what might happen in the WC looking at the lack of creativity and impetus by the Captain and Management.

We got lucky today on the back of 2 centuries, otherwise our batting was not up to scratch either.
 
Why didn't Junaid have a bowl? I guess maybe they wanted to try out their preferred XI today..
 
Pakistan wins! But there were a lot of errors made in this match by our team! Need to sort out our middle order and fast bowlers in next warmup against England.
 
I am concerned about the lack of form for Abdul Razzaq, Younis, and Kamran Akmal.

Kamran has scored once in the last few matches, and the other two haven't done that either.

As it is setup, they all are going to be regular members of the team, adn it is tough to win with 3 out of form batsmen, especially those batting at 3 & 4

Should've given Asad Shafique a chance maybe to see if he is more suited for the #3 position

Yes, this is hugely disappointing. I didn't really care about the result of this match, but they should have used it to give some practice to players who really need it. What if one of our bowlers gets injured, or is just in terrible form. It seems essentially that the team management has completely ruled out playing junaid (quite like what happened with Hamad Azam in a previous tournament). And Saeed Ajmal didn't get to bowl either.
I think this practice game was a lost opportunity. Let's hope for the best in the next game.
 
Happy about the win but extremely disappointed to see Pakistan's approach to the game. This was a warm-up and they should have given Ajmal and Junaid the opportunity to bowl. Why were Afridi and Hafeez bowling so many overs? This line up could have played against England but this was the game to experiment and provide match practice to the reserves (Maybe to Asad too) as they'll definitely play a part in such a long tournament.

After this, I doubt we'll see much of Ajmal in the WC. Which will be pretty sad. A match-winning bowler will warm the bench while a defensive spinner is given priority.
 
Good comprehensive win against potential banana skin team

I can't comment on fielding and bowling too much as I didn't see the game - but we do need more batsmen to fire in the top 5!!!!

Nevertheless a winning start!!!!!! Hooray!!!!!

I agree with your sentiments but at the same time they want to get a stable first 11 - I would have liked to see junaid bowl, but ajmal I feel has got that last over beating stigma
I'm a big ajmal fan and hope he gets to leave a mark on this tournament and eradicate that stigma

Plus you can't fault the current guys who seem to be making the most of their chance i.e. rehman
 
IM hapy about the win and not sure why Junaid, Ajmal wasnt tried in this game? really no clue and AJmal should have been there playing and dont know what are they upto with Junaid.

Ajmal and Juni not bowling looks like they are players no 14 and 15 in the squad respectively

Ajmal should be first choice if they want to play a spinner

Rehman has proved that he is a good spinner.

very economical and he could be a good option especailly in the subcontinent.
