Alrighty folks, about time we start a predictions thread for the big game.

Let me be the first one and say if England bat first they will score 300 and Pakistan will chase it down (dont laugh) with Faheem playing a crucial hand ( hope he isnt dropped).

Expecting Junaid, Hasan, Amir and Shadab to be a handful if they play together.

Need to play Fahim as well instead of Azhar.

Shadab comes in for Imad (depending on conditions)

It is possible that our bowling will restrict the English batsmen, but our batting will be quite unpredictable because our batsmen may be outplayed by English bowlers in their home conditions, succumb to the pressure or do well. Hoping for a close match and Pakistani win. :)

1) PAK will score a fiery 350+.
2) Posters will rejoice. Trolling will commence. Extra samosas will be prepared for iftari.
3) A few hours later, ENG will chase the score in 40 overs for the loss of two wickets.
4) PCB will set up a three-member committee headed by Haroon Rasheed.

Pakistan has been very very lucky to reach semifinals. The game against Saf was decided by the rain had that game was not interrupted by rain anything was possible and again with SL the poor Sl fielding was the reason for Pak win and both times Pak found themselves lucky in the batting department no doubt they bowled exceptionally well and luck will run out for Pak against Eng the only chance they could win is good day with the bat and that is very predictable that it will be a failure as usual so England win easy to predict if pak wins it will be shocking even more shocking if their batsmen wins them the Eng game

Pakistan has not at all looked convincing this tourney. Heavy loss to India, scraped by against SL due to dropped catches and rain helped against SA.

pak bowling is not weak that eng chase 40 over . lets check proud_pakistani. this bowling unit is stronger than that .
although i known y r just joking.

England will exposed pakistans poor batting line up.

Prediction:-

If england bat 1st - Eng 320/5 (50) Pak 183 All out (37)
If Pakistan bat 1st - Pak 230/8 (50) Eng 232/4 (43)

Pakistan will win this
England struggle to start and will be bowled out for 193 after 46 overs having been 98-7 at one time

Pakistan will win the match losing only 4vwickets

As per this thread, There is Either Pak winning or England thrashing Pak.

No body thinks a close match can take place even if Pak lose?

1. Fakhar Zaman
2. M Hafeez (no other option)
3. Babar Azam
4. Haris Sohail ( I m a big fan of Malik, but he disappoint me)
5. Sarfraz Ahmed
6. Fahim Ashraf
7. Imad Wasim
8. Shadab Khan
9. M Amir
10. Hasan Ali
11. Junaid K

Eng have deep batting line up but not as stable as indian one for example even if it's more explosive,if we get an opener and root early we have a good chance of winning it .

England 230 all out

Amir 4/45
Hasan 3/58

Root 76
Hales 54

Pakistan 231/9. 49.3. Overs

Hafeez 77
Imad 47

Not going to make a prediction on who's going to win but Hafeez is going to score a 50 and dry up the runs in the most important part of the innings. Possibly a 62(85).

Azhar isn't going to make the team.

Hasan Ali will get wickets but will be massacred. 2/74 off 8 overs probably.

Babar Azam is going to get out for a score of less than 20 but will be run a ball.

Fakhar Zaman will not be able to handle the pace of Mark Wood and get out before playing 10 deliveries.

Jason Roy (if he plays) will score a 50 and find form.

Alex Hales is going to hit a ton.

Buttler will have a failure.

Root will drop a catch in the field.

Pakistan bat first score 278 with everyone contributing here and there.

England all out for 248 with Shahdab Khan picking up 4 wickets and Hafeez and Malik drying up the runs as the wicket is a used one and will be low slow turner by the second innings.

Pakistan has not at all looked convincing this tourney. Heavy loss to India, scraped by against SL due to dropped catches and rain helped against SA.

Yeh meray bhai jal jal ke rakh hogaye hain....

Before every match he predicts a heavy Pakistani defeat only to be slapped on the face. :srt :srt

Pakistan will bat first and the score would be around 280 runs. England will be chase it down by losing 7 wickets. In case of England batting first then they will score 320 runs and Pak will be bundled under 200 runs.

Anything less than a 80+ run victory or a 6 wicket win for England will be a surprise.

fakhar / 35

If England bat first , 225. Amir, Junaid with 3 and Hasan taking 2 wickets.

If Pakistan bat first, 277. With 50s from Fakhar, Babar and Malik.

Yes, we were lucky Sri Lanka didnt wrap up our tail, with two dropped catches. But they had first to
be dismissed for 237. And rain didn't kept SA to 219. We were 40 runs ahead of Duckworth
Lewis in the chase. And we have beat them 4-1 in the last 5 encounters. I wouldn't call it lucky.

I've already predicted the scorecard of the semi final and final. All that matters is Pakistan is on its way to stop a rampant England.

Sick of these "rain saved us, dropped catches saved us" posts. Pakistan dropped catches too. Had they caught well, SL wouldnt have crossed 200.

England 238/8 50 overs amir 3 junaid 2 hassan 2

Pakistan 239/6 47.3 overs Babar 86 Malik 55 not out and quick 30-40 from zaman

In shaa Allah! Plenty of faith in our boys! They have been written off and we all know what happens once that happens! Be afraid England...be very afraid!

all past records does not matter except against India for Pakistan and only way Pak can win semi final or final is by performing with the bat if not like England India or Bangladesh atlest significant improvement of what they did in the whole tournament if they bat the same way then its easy to predict what will happen but I only said Pak batsmen were lucky not the bowling

Indeed. Dropped catches is part of the game. So is hitting the post in football. At the end of the day what will people remember?

The result.

Although the math is a bit shaky.

The best ODI top/middle order scores 64 runs in 80 balls (S/R of 80) at an average of 12.8 per wicket?

Not just your math, your grasp of reality is also shaky.

:murali :yk

:))) Rasheed sir will investigate who ordered samosa and why and for how much?

Amir and Ali took 7 wickets in 20 overs for 110 runs. If they can do that again, Pakistan will be favorites to win.

Others have to choke the english as well. It wont matter if amir and hasan pick up wickets but others leak runs.

If England bat first and the wicket is flat

England 350+, Pak 180 all out

If England bat first and wicket is not flat

England 250-260, Pak 120 all out

If Pak bat first and wicket is flat

Pak 260-270, England 261-271-4 in 38 overs

If Pak bat first and wicket is not flat

Pak 170 all out, England 171-6 in 32 overs

I want Pakistan to win as they are fasting :amla

I hate it when people eat around me while I am fasting, feel like burning them to the ground.

Pakistan will win the toss and field first

England 157 all out
Pakistan 158/5

Pakistan win by 5 wickets

Pak's bowling can be handful, expecting few hiccups upfront for England purely because it is a pressure match, but yeah, England should ultimately be too strong. Pakistan's batting is too ridiculous to get away with as often. Not every time will a team field like SL did and the bigger the game lasts, the weaker the Pakistan's batting looks (SA would have loved a full game).

:srt :srt

Exactly as I predicted, another slap on the face.
