Why do we allow Ravinder Singh Bopara to look like Sir Donald George Bradman?

He has an ODI batting average of 29.81 (not including this innings) and against Pakistan that average shoots up to 48.66 (not including this innings). That is double the average he has against Australia.

Even his List A average is only 37.89!

All hail Sir Ravinder Bopara.

Just need a good death spell from Gul and the target will be chasable.

cheema has 4 overs use him ffs!

why do they keep going on about gul. he is rubbish!

You don't have slips when opposition is 199/3 .Slips for new batsman (Morgan)fair enough.

You always have a slip for bowlers who can move the ball both ways, and Misbah usually does.

As soon as I saw the XI, it was apparent what the strategy for this game was. Looks like there was a team meeting called just to contain runs - it appears as if Pakistan are very worried about their batting.

Bopara and Patel are better players of spin. he failed in India because of tighter fields and lack of singles. did get couple of scores though.

When bopara starts scoring against you , then there is some serious problem with the bowling and field setting.

lol pretty much.

Two extra runs in that Ajmal over. Poor stuff

Anything over 230 Pak ain't chasing.

Mohammad Hafeez( he is due a 50), Imran Farhat (lame), Azhar Ali (50 at SR of 50), Younis Khan(expect a 23~30 at SR of 80), Misbah-ul-Haq*(a fighting 50), Shahid Afridi(walking wicket), Umar Akmal†(history has taught us never rely on akmals)..... so expect PAK all out 210

good spell from afridi. was brought on too late while gul carried on getting overs.

Why does umar keeps partitioning his hands wide open and not try to grab the ball with his palms rather?

Only in Pakistan would you force someone to keep - who was never a keeper in the first place.

Only in Pakistan...

Afridi under lights would have been totally unplayable.

all catches and a zero from Sarfaraz is much better than 2 drops and a 20 from umar Akmal

No way we can go with Umer Akmal as the keeping solution on ODIs, really this will cost the match Cook was dropped on 28. Really no point in playing extra batsman when your missed chance cost you more then half of your team.

I think our batters should stop making excuse of batting under lights , if they are not good enough to play under lights let the other deserving batsmen play.

Despite the wickets, England's batsmen does not have the confidence to hit boundary after a boundary.

With that many wickets, even Pakistani players would've dominated the last overs.

These last over would've been total entertainment if Aussies/Saffers were batting.

what about Dravid, Dilshan, AB DeVilliers

Lol AB Devilliers is one of the best fielders in the game. Dilshan and Dravid had experience with the gloves and were good out fielders.

Who's Umar Akmal - someone with very little experience of keeping, not that great of a fielder and slightly overweight. Is this someone who you give the gloves to just for the sake of it?
