Hate to say it but probably true.

Our victory over India in the 2014 Asia Cup could be our last victory over them for a long time.

They just have the mental edge over us and are consistently better.

For the memories - the 2014 Asia Cup game vs India was a special game. A modern classic was a once in blue moon Afridi special! :afridi

Here are the highlights of that last over! Enjoy!

How many games you have played against India after that game? If it's not too many then this thread looks way over the top to me.

Buffet, 3-4 match may be.

Certainly an overreaction.

3 games - and we were completely dominated in all of them.

Considering we don't even play India that often - cherish that Asia Cup game for as long as you can!

4 consecutive losses after that.

Also, the gulf in quality between the two teams seems to be broadening.

We are just no longer as good as India anymore - world cup or not.

I'm not saying its the end of the road, far from it in fact, we just have to move forward with a young team and a fresh new management and coaching staff.

Would love to see Sami Aslam, Saud Shakeel, Babar Azam get more chances in the future. Can't wait for Haris Sohail to return soon - would almost seem like a new player making his debut lol

If Pakistan plays a series having 7 ODIs right now where Dhoni is not captaining then I don't think that Indians will win all 7 games.

Gap is surely there, but Pakistan can surely win regular games if not pressure games like WC. You can't read much into 3-4 games to be honest, but Pakistan has been playing very poor cricket in limited overs against all teams.

Nothing is set in stone in any sport. Leicester City was on the very verge of relegation last season and now they are at the cusp of winning their first ever Premier League title.

Teams go through cycles, some years you will be good other you will be awful. Spain was absolutely unbeatable in the last decade, now look at them.

India at the moment has the best batsman of this generation coupled with one of the best captains of all time and a few other players who are good to excellent. This may not be the case 3-5 years down the line.

Of the 4 games , 3 T20 and 1 ODI ... and sir 3 were World Cups ... lets simply discount them. Pakistan have never done it against India even in their prime.

So its one game of T20.

I remember watching that game. I went crazy when Afridi hit that six

Our next mauka will be CT17. If Dhoni doesn't retire before that, you can already add it to the losses list.

Ideally MSD should retire at CT2017. Will give VIRAT enough time to blood a fresh side for the 2019 WC

Spot on, taking the captaincy in odis will make things more difficult for kohli, that bowling is weak, and the batting without kohli is not that far behind.
Dhoni marshals the bowling epically

Bump but as we say in Urdo "Dair Aye lekin Drust Aye"

Glad I was proven wrong with an epic win 1 month ago!! :)
