NZ should target 270 odd here. Need to conserve wickets and rotate strike.

People were calling for Shaheen to work on his variations during the T20 series - well here's a slower ball and he's got the dangerman out.
Taylor is playingNZ is weaken a lot without Guptill. Williamson should be desperate. If he/Taylor gets out cheaply, Pakistan will win easily.

He's a legend. NZ's best bat of all time. Pak. need to get him out soon.Ross is one of the most under rated batsman in world cricket - even I didn't know he had 19 hundreds in 205 games and a stats of 46/83
Still H2H is in favor of PAK at 53/47, that's after 11-0 run, which actually tells what happened between 1975 to 2000.
Quite a contrasting bowling combination, on a wicket I couldn't figure out yet. At Abu Dhabi, you play 2, if not 3 spinners; Kiwis have gone with 4 pacers, while PAK has struck 2 blows in PP with new ball!!! I think, Shantner probably would have come in XI, had he been fit, but still Kiwis are looking at an early strike with new ball, won't be surprised if they start like a Test match field.
Taylor is playing
Taylor is at the crease with him right now

Imam could be exposed today

Kiwi legend definitely, but I'll take Martin Crowe for the bold line; over all Williamson is slightly better as well (his stats are 47/83 - but doesn't hit brutally, hence no one cares about how good a batsman KW is).
The problem with SONY LIV is that the tab shows the current score while the stream is behind by 5 minutes.
From 2004 , NZ have dominated 23-7.
Williamson is technically better but he lacks power game. Taylor has quite a few memorable innings in ODIs and has very high impact when he is in touch. For a neutral, Taylor will have a better legacy.
KW is like Smith who also lacks power game.

Same for Root. Although Root is much better than them in ODIs.
Naa. Williamson will 100% surpass him. His numbers will be too much to argue against.
Imad has finally developed skills for bowling with older bowl, slight variation of pace with little bit of spin
They don't lack power game. It's just, they're not the world's best when it comes to hitting. Same for Kohli tbh.
It's very rare you'll see a player who is among the best in all facets. Only ABD.
can definitely be done by them. The job he is doing, can't that be done by Haris or Saud?
Result of the match as well as the series will totally depend upon whether Pak can maintain the intensity throughout and dont have that let loose 5-10 overs
Hassan Ali has been going downhill since that Wagah episode which was embarrassing, to say the least.

Should get a wicket here otherwise Shadab will be attacked.
Imad bowling average does not justify his place in the team.
Imad has more than 150 first class wickets which gives him that bowler’s mentality who knows how to bowl under pressure. Saud can be a decent 6th option but dont think Saud and Haris can handle themselves well when under pressure. I doubt they would have taken the wickets of ABD and Amla in CT in such a pressure match.
Plus Imad gives option with a new ball if required.
I doubt, if PAK has a better H2H in 2010s against any team that existed before 2010 in ODI circuits, bar ZIM & may be SRL (for that 5-0).
Williamson has the best technique & touch among fav 4 - he does things his own silky way. Last T20, he made best 60 of the series at 160 SR on this slow wicket, and I didn't notice that before looking at SR. In last ODI series at UAE, he played one of the best innings here in series decider.

But his economy does
Yes i've always noticed that KW times the ball better than Root, Kohli, Smith etc. Never overhits the ball. Very classy batsman to watch.
Correction: its 140 wickets Imad has in FC
This is the time to attack. These two form the backbone of NZ's batting. Letting them milk Imad is what they want.
Two senior batsmen rebuilding nicely.
I don't feel we've enough threat during the middle-overs, especially since the loss of Saeed Ajmal. I just don't understand the team management's aversion to playing a specialist spinner in these conditions.
i think Inzi even does not know that.Irfan (legspinner) was the highest wicket taker in the recent QeA Cup and was also one of the highest wicket takers in last year's Departmental Cup. Why isn't he being considered?
Was Taylor having a go at someone there?
Update: he's saying Hafeez is chucking. My goodness
