Pakistan vs New Zealand | 3rd T20I | Dubai | Nov 4, 2018 | Pakistan innings

Fakhar is so overrated on this forum, so many technical faults yet people are comparing him to Warner, Rohit, and Dhawan LOL.

Its the UAE wickets he struggles against. Leg side is not his strong zone and lacks there but dont know what technical deficiencies you are talking abt. He scored runs in NZ, Eng and now in test debut as well

Who else remembers Colin De Grandhomme’s debut against us? :)) Always comes to my mind when I see hil still baffles me how he ripped through our batting lineup. :))

Nzl had a great game plan against Fakhar. Fakhar has been found out. He's vulnerable when the ball is on pads and pressure rises bang it short on body.

On fast tracks like Eng, NZ, SA it isnt gonna be a problem, its in Asia where he has to produce the power himself.

I don't understand why posters/commentators keep saying his game suits the UAE.

Some people would rather we bring back Ahmed Shehzad.

India did the same to him in England and he smashed a hundred your mistaken it’s the slow wickets where he struggles.

Yea exactly, atleast commies should do their homework before coming to the matches

Bowlers will follow him and bowl more to the leg side and that is a massive deficiency. They have begun to study his batting more now that he has made a name for himself which is why he scored those runs there.

I have a feeling he will continue to be scratchy like this even out of the subcontinent if he is batting against a bowling side that comes with a plan.

He is still a great player for our standards, but I fear that improvement could be too late, he is close to 30 and its extremely hard to adjust your game after playing like that for so many years.

All I am saying is for posters to stop lauding him like he is a 50 average player, he will be a 35 average max by the time he retires or if he fades out like every other new batsmen for us as the trend has showed.

He has to work his game on slow wickets Asap because he's playing for Pakistan not England. So most of the time he'll have to bat on sub-continent pitches.

If Ahmad Shahzad bats the way Babar does, he gets crucified on this forum

Ahmed Shehzad doesn't play consistently like Babar. At the end of their inning you'll find better sr of Babar at any way

Man the moment I saw Babar playing against India in the u19 World Cup I knew he would become one our greatest batsman, it will be an anomaly if he keeps an average above 50 in an era where his team mates have looked scratchy and mediocre.

Yes definitely, needs to work on his game on these tracks and work on his technique for legside play. If he could play one good innings in upcoming ODI series, that time in the middle on these wickets would do him world of good for his game on these wickets.

This is why I wanted Asif at 3. What's Hafeez going to do against someone like Lockie? Asif would put in more work against a bowler like that.

Unfortunately he did that with 16 less in avg and almost 10 11 short in SR.

His attitude was his biggest problem, you fail and you learn but he never learned. Same was the case with Umar Akmal. They are still young, but they need a big turn of their minds to leave any impact on the game of cricket

And as soon as the spinner comes on Hafeez goes for the six lol. So predictable with the seniors. Why batting at 3 is a mistake, Hafeez, Malik all they do is wait around for the spinners. When not bat them where they come into the spinners/medium pacers, than at 3 where they waste runs from the fast bowlers.

This is how our batsmen should have played spinners in Asia Cup. Professor is just giving a masterclass against spin

Should have obviously been apart of the Asia Cup Squad, selectors were a fool to not select a player of his class and quality!

When was the last time an umpire didn't review a runout appeal?

These medium pacers and NZ have a long history, Chris Harris, Scott Styris, Mccmilan and now Munro and Collin

Can we actually push ourselves a bit and aim for a score of 160+ here

Nothing to lose.

Son of a bun Babar Azam. Why slogging just after getting your 50? Why not before why no othe bowler?

These guys forget about the match requirements to increase run rate and chasing personal milestones.
