Why are the commies saying that 220 will be a good score? Anything less than 270 might be chased down by this Proteas side. They bat till #9 and we only have two bowlers.

Also, normally the pitches at Newlands are way more pace friendly. So scoring as not been as easy. This pitch seems a lot more flatter than standard Newland pitches. So thats why 240+ has usually not been chased.

I agree with you, 270-300 is what I want. Cause I only consider Ajmal. Our new ball pace bowlers got 0 wickets :/

Disappointed to see that our bowlers were unable to restrict South Africa under 300. And then our openers failed yet again. But on the bright side, Azhar and Younus are looking good. If we only lose (maximum) one more wicket by stumps today, we'll be in a decent position. We are essentially 43/2, so the game is in the balance.
 
Azhar applying himself well, Steyn is still doing a good job with the ball.
 
Good to see Azhar playing some confident strokes. He really has to prove himself, and this is a perfect chance.
 
And the third ball jumps on Younis lol, will need to use all his fourth innings skills here. :yk
 
Pakistan's openers are a worrying sign here. Azhar has basically opened this innings (came in after two deliveries), and it may be worth swapping his positions with Hafeez. Jamshed has also been poor, and I'd replace him with Taufeeq. But since Taufeeq is injured and Farhat is the only backup option, I guess Nasir should play the last game as well.
 
250 is a defendable score with this bounce. Some of Tanvir's balls might just roll along the floor, he could be a secret weapon yet. :tanvir
 
I think any wicket taken by Morkel has to be reffered! His foot looks to be marginal

I think it has started to crack but should open up more. Most pitches are going to crack up after 3 days. Plus this is Ajmal, he can spin it on dead tracks.

I think the trouble is our pace bowlers have sucked. Gul & Tanvir really need to step up (even Irfan needs to get some new ball wickets). We cant expect Ajmal to keep taking all 6 top order batsman.

Well Gulcwas a tad unlucky with the drop catches and remember he had Smith very early on. Irfan should also prosper if the wicket becomes even more uneven...
