Guess he's fulfilled his yearly quota huh?Hash said:Kaneria was magnificent in the first innings
Hash said:only if it is in his kismat
but who does he get replaced with? faisal iqbal? its not like Hasan Raza, Bazid Khan, or Fawad Alam are coming into the squad!hasbeen said:kismat can only take you to so much. if your a washed up hasbeen, then kismat cant help you make a 100 and so on. lets just hope he makes his 6 runs so he doesnt have to say im fit for the first test of the next series and jeapodise the team's progression any further.

Yes, tehre have been 2 so far.KA$H said:sounds like the close in feilders need to get closer...edges keep dropping short according to cricinfo.

Really bugging me!!!
I dont think anyone really bothers in Pak - from what my cousin in Pak tells me - none of her college class fellows do.iZeeshan said:wait shudnt they be fasting?

Are you serious? Wow, what is wrong with Pakistanis!Oxy said:I dont think anyone really bothers in Pak - from what my cousin in Pak tells me - none of her college class fellows do.
Used to be stigma attached to openly flaunt not fasting - no longer the case I think.
Chewing gum = extra, unnecessary, SWEETENED saliva = swallowed something with flavor = breaks fastkashif77 said:i never understood how chewing gum .. getting injections or other stuff like that breaks a fast !

iZeeshan said:Are we really this bad? I mean, our bowling attack isn't terrible, and our batting should have scored AT LEAST 400 with I Younis, Yousuf, Inzi, Misbah, AND Malik! How can not even ONE of them stick around? HOW?
kashif77 said:stages of grieving -
* Denial (this isn't happening to me!) <----- most pak fans at this point currently
* Anger (why is this happening to me?)
* Bargaining (I promise I'll be a better person if...)
* Depression (I don't care anymore)
* Acceptance (I'm ready for whatever comes)

Oxy said:Chewing gum? Your swallowing all the juice. Injections are permissible, as is giving samples of blood etc.
However having glucose injections to get some sugar into the sysytem to counter fatigue might not be wise![]()

SA continuing the fabulous run rate of their first innings
hasbeen said:who can blame them? why should they throw away all the free gifts that pakistan handed to them on a plate. as long as they get the series victory thats all that matters whather its 1-0 or 2-0. its up to pakistan to get them out or make them play rash shots
Hash said:If the roles were reversed there would be people making threads about 'negativity, defensive tactics, how can we be the best team when we don't have killer instinct?, Malik is scared, bla bla bla'
I remember in the England series 2005 in the 3rd test people were bashing Pakistan for not trying to win and playing for the draw (in the end they were made to shut it, ofcourse).
You know I do - maybe I want to be chewingHash said:oh come on......she isn't fasting, just get over it. Who cares!
deviously~fading~away said:The most disappointing factor is that no one is aiding Malik with his mistakes, knowing that 1 captain & 2 vice captain are playing aside him (Inzi, Moyo, Younis)!
deviously~fading~away said:The fielding placement when after tea were quite poor from Malik. Spinners barely had any close in fielders to put pressure on SA batsman who are quite happy to take singles with the odd boundary till mid-lunch tommorow & than send Pakistan in. The most disappointing factor is that no one is aiding Malik with his mistakes, knowing that 1 captain & 2 vice captain are playing aside him (Inzi, Moyo, Younis)!
So what if the 'non-Inzi likers' go after Inzi? What is more important winning a test match or worring that some posters on a website know as PP might take a mickery out of Inzi for aiding Malik? And its not like the 'haters' need a reason to hate someone. Just like the 'non-afridi likers' were on afridi's case for helping malik during the abu dhabi & T20 series. They went quite once Pakistan beat Sri Lanka & reached the final of T20 cup. Inzi, Moyo & Younis need to chip in but i guess its a bit too late now.Oxy said:Actually - that is probably a concious attempt to let the new man do his own thing. The moment Inzi goes near Malik and 'offers advice' - it will latched upon by 'non-Inzi likers anymore' and used against him.
Butt is the VC - let him do his stuff
Oxy said:What I dont understand is when you guys slit your wrists....why you have to come back when all is well.
Glory fans.
Only sing when you are winning.
Pathetic really.
Its you guys that are the real CHOKERS - first sign of pressure and you lose it.
Part time fans
knowing the way PCb have been selecting squads so far, misbah's placed is already ensured.the true passionist said:Can the combo of Inzi, Moyo, and Younis do it for Pakistan as they will bat together for the last time. These three players have been the key to Pakistan's success for the last 5-6 years.
There would be some pressure on Misbah as well. He has got starts but failed to get a big one. This is his chance to ensure his place in the test and ODI squads for future series.
Hash said:It was a painfully depressing day of cricket for Pakistan.
We are not crap....we are very good. We are just playing crap at the moment, and South Africa are taking advantage of our present crapness.
well i agree with you there then if that was the case. the most important thing is a series win especially since they aint done it before on sub continent and also the scare they got in the last test with the younis hundred
