Pakistan vs South Africa...Day 5 from Centurion.

This attack is just toothless ..Hate to say this but the Indian so called pop gun attack was 10 times better than these bunch of jokers .. Except Asif - the others don't even deserve to play for their clubs ..and Kaneria will always be learning till Qyaamat
 
crickfan... what if they bowl SA out? You'll be eating your words. Just support whoever is there on the day wearing the pakistan shirt. Don't speak too soon.

You do know Indians played with their best attack in all three matches? Munaf Patel missing is not a big loss; Akhtar and Gul missing is B-I-G.

mate - Munaf is a wayyyy better option than VRV Singh ... him missing out due to an injury was a great dent to the bowling attack ... Zaheer, Sreesanth and Kumble were the only ones among wickets ...

I agree Pak is missing Gul ... but Akhtar ?? wasnt it the PCB themselves who chose NOT to pick him for this match ?? Also as Inzi wisely said in his interview - "The ones on the field are your best 11 ... no complaints ... no excuses"

Hold on, was it me or were the majority of the Indians fans criticizing Munaf for his lacklustre effort on the field? And didn't some high authority figure questioned Munaf's integrity as far as fitness tests are concerned? Keep quiet now :) .

I agree - but lets not hide from facts ..We know that Pakistan will never be able to field it's best bowling attack consistently ..Shoaib will always get injured after 1 series and Gul too had a stress facture .. So Rana and Nazir will always be there ...and I don't even want to discuss Kaneria ..

yes. but no one was questioning his talent, was he ?? there's a difference between talent and actual performance. pakistanis should know this the best of all people - courtesy akhtar.

I like Munaf though, he just needs to put in more effort in test matches. Anyways, the match is getting out of Pakistan's hands now.
 
The rot starts at the top - Inzy is too defensive and unimaginative ...He is just the opposite of Imran
 
It is going to be statement time now - Big statements are going to be made after this match - We are very angry (Younis saheb ) ... We will come back strongly ( Inzy who else )
 
Now only Shoaib can win this series for us. Inzy has lost completely.

Come on. VRV Singh isn't good enough to play Ranji trophy, let alone a Test match. A fit Munaf (not the limping one that you saw in the first Test) would have been the first choice as the pace bowler. He was more successful than Sreesanth in the West Indies.

The big error was not playing Harbhajan Singh could have won the third Test. It was his kind of wicket - not Kumble's, he needs a bouncy one - but we played a half fit Munaf instead.

Munaf played in last match didn't make any difference. India and Pakistan needed to give at least 300 run target to have a good chance. Defensive mind set of both captains is the reason we lost the match.
 
Not one match has been won because of Inzy's captaincy - The matches that Pakistan did manage to win in their backyard was due to great individual performances and not because of any inspirational strategy or captaincy ...Inzy has made Pakistan look like the old India who only won matches on tailormade Kumble pitches in India and came a cropper out side subcontinent ..

so we will all look back now at those atrocious decisions in saffies first innings which could have deprived us of a signficant first innings lead...i'm not one for sour grapes...but some os the decisions in this match have just been pathetic!
 
Failure to dismiss Dabur Hair oil cheaply is frustrating, he was struggling for most of the India series.

1) When the bowler's struggle to take Amla's wicket - why blame the umpires ..

2) When the captain and vice captain play suicidal pull shots with all the experience they have - what can you say ...

3) When you have a leg spinner who lets his mouth do all the talking - there was no hope


You need men of character and courage to win Test matches in Australia and SA ... Pakistan did not have them in good numbers

truth hurts..and trust me thats hardly offensive..im sick of our parosi's and their nonsense...we know how good or bad our team is...we dont need these inferiority complex kay maray howay telling us whats what...

as for the match , oh well at least Gul and akther will be back for the next match..dissapointed we let SA off the hook..(pun intended)

i doubt character has anything to do with it in the current situation..just not enough runs....sometimes you just have to bowl well...and anyway im sure your great team has plenty of chracter as evidenced from its recent series win( oh sorry defeat)...!!

sorry but those decisions could easily have changed this game...when straight forward lbw decisions go against the side and the pair in question rack up a 200 run partnership then thats critical to a game of cricket....

On a more serious note - yes they showed more character ... Keep in mind that the series could have gone either way till the 5 th day of the 3 rd Test Match .. Yes they lost and that is what matters but they were not disgraced

He started badly but scored a fifty in third Test. Smith started with a series of ducks and ended with two fifties in the last Test.

You should thank us for running Dabur, Smith and Gibbs all into form :)
 
This game is over, onto the next test; I feel Pak will win it with Moyo and Shoiby back in the line up, it will be 1-1 and an interesting 3rd test will await us...

Akhtar should have played first test. Rana and Nazir didn't take any wickets and on top of that giving over 150 runs at 5 a over is disgusting.
 
Completely agree that Akhtar should have been in the squad from the off.

Don't be fooled by thinking this was a close match - we have been well and truly hammered.

Only bright side is that the match did not finish within 3 days.

And lets not kid ourselves either - we just dont perform when we tour Australia or S Africa - they are too good for us.
 
It's easy win for SA i expected better from Pakistan. Defending 200 is not easy but at least take 5-6 wickets and not loose completly.
 
SA win by 7 wickets. good trashing and i hope inzy learn thing or two and play Akhtar in 2nd test-

yeah lets send an under 19 team to aus and SA next time...afterall were just not good enough are we..shoaib for captain and sarfraz for chairman of PCB..then they select the right team!!
 
South Africa win. Well played, deserved win. Amla has resisted very well on this last day, I was wrong about him.

We will bounce back, though.
 
It will really difficult to bounce back from this position now...we played hard cricket for the first 4 days!!...there was surely a chance of winning the game here!..but we gave it up on day 5!

Inzi wanted 250 lead..he got 200 not much of a difference we should have picked up atleast 5,6 wickets!..but completely fall flat on day 5!

Shoaib,Gul,Yousuf should play in the next Test alongwith Inzi,Younis,Akmal,Asif,Kaneria!

play a full strength side & come out all cylinders firing..thats the only way we can make a comeback in the series!
