one thing that will work for moyo is that he doesnt spare bad balls like yasir or butt. and bad balls are coming frequently. so he might cash in

they should . butt gone. they have messed the situation. its dificult for new batsman coming up. they should have kept the pressue up.
 
butt decides to save moyo the humiliation of running him out again and chips one back to bandara !

malik is right to come in now ... he can score quickly off of spinners and there is time for afridi later.

plus afridi is a risk for losing his wicket quickly and triggering a collapse.

moyo and malik are the people to bat now.
 
im impressed with malik!!!! doesnt think about anything. does wots need to be done.

Malik playing the shot around the ground really well, he's shown he can hit it and then the next few balls he's just played it softly into the gaps for a single

I remember Malik smashing Murali for a huge 6 over long on in the CT - went on the roof. Seems to favour that area against spin.

I tell you this - Malik just doesnt have the broad shoulders to hit big shots !! I have seen him get out many times to big hits and when he does hit one, it takes all the energy out of this guy - HE needs to work on his physical shape...
 
i can't believe MOYO did it again...Almost....he was almost gone...poor running
 
very disappointed in malik .. he didn't need to take that risk .. especially since he is captain now.
 
Good to see Kamran coming ahead of Afridi/Razzaq.
 
yes poor stuff from Malik...he didn't need to do that..another 5-7 over between him and moyo would have done the trick....we have enough hitters , Malik need to understand that..

that's one of the reasons i want him at 3.

he can come in and get the singles and 2's and the occasional boundary ... but when he tries to slog every ball it's just not his style.
 
if akmal and moyo can get pakistan to 280+ and if one gets out.. then afridi can boom boom to a score of around 320+

Lankans have not been that great in the field this time around, Pakistan have been taking advantage of it well by running well between the wickets
 
Akmal and Moyo just need to tick along here for another 8 overs and hopefully the likes of Afridi/razzaq can tee off and pakistan can get 350.
 
I think Moyo and Malik had decided b/w them that Malik will go for the big shots while Moyo will play through the inning. I dont see anything wrong with what Malik did considering Pakistan had wickets in hand.

Had he done the same with lesser wickets in hand, Malik's action would have been inappropriate.
 
Pakistan need to be hitting 250 by the 40th.
Then we have Afridi and Razzaq to come in.
 
at one stage 400 was likely. they should learn to execute well especially in these conditions where target depends on how much ur willing to achieve
 
yeah Wicky bhai is in.....how come he doesn't start his staff with Good morning Pakistan, Good Morning Multan, Good Morning Rameez, Good Morning Viewers around the world , good morning down there , good morning out here...

Point is that Big shots arent Maliks forte - it takes a lot of energy to hit a six and not everyone is like Afridi in that respect.
