Hafeez should be booted out of the team. Once he get bowling ban, he is unlikely to take up his place on his poor batting stats. Harris needs to be integrated to ODIs asap.

Anyone who thinks Hafeez will be gone after this series is only setting themselves up for disappointment.

I agree with this 100%, they need to let him know that he is a MUCH better batsman then what he has shown in this series. He averages over 50 in List A cricket.

Yep, I agree. He needs to be told to bat normally. Captain & Coaching staff should set the right expectations.
 
It is painful to see Hafeez and Malik still in the team.I hope that both of them are kicked out so that deserving youngsters get chances.
 
Absolute needless shot from Hafeez.

If he gets banned from bowling should not be in the team anymore.
 
Just tuning in, why are those Pak fans clinging awkwardly to those stuffed tigers? IIRC SL's symbol is a "Lion", although one that doesn't look anything like an actual one, since there never were lions on the Island.

Looks weird AF.
 
Btw if Malik goes cheaply, this game is in the bag for SL. Unlikely though, I think SL don't have enough on the board.

We still need Malik for his power hitting. Hafeez without bowling is useless.

I think it is banter with the Lankan crowd who were chanting Sri Lanka jeetayga :))


I miss matches in Pakistan where the entire stadium would be resounding with "Jeetayga bhai jeetayga Pakistan jeetayga"

I'll still play Fakhar as he is an attacking option. We cannot have timid opening batsman but Hafeez needs to be replaced with Harris.
 
Disappointing chase, we can’t dominate even when we are chasing a low score.

Dunno why but I'm sure I hear that very often in UK and UAE whenever PAK is staging a comeback or about to win a cup/series.
 
Fakhar's average has gone down.

Good to see Hafeez gone.

Babar playing well.

Want to see Sarfraz and Imad get runs if they get to bat.

Malik's power hitting skills are displayed only against minnow teams.Where were his power-hitting skills in England,Australia and CT.

bro I know that, fakhar has achieved more that sharjeel ever did.

But sharjeel never looked like a tailender out there. He used to get out when going for big shots. Fakhar has more weaknesses in his game.
 
Babar needs to play shots if he wants to score 100 otherwise he will end up 70+ runs if we win the match
 
Babar needs to improve his hitting ability. Very limited to play shots

The past is done and dusted. Can't change it.

Fakhar should be persisted for at least the next series. Even if he fails in the next match.
 
Malik rotates strike alot better than Hafeez. He should chuck Pakistan to victory in the 2019 WC as he will probably retire afterwards so might as well go out with a bang. :sharif
 
Babar's strike rate has taken a Huge hit in this series even if his average has taken a big rise

It will go back up again. He has had to play extremely cautiously this series, due to the incompetence of the openers.

Neither has Hafeez by getting reported and failing to deliver with the bat.
 
Srilanka has no motivation. They seem to be happy to collect their pay checks.

One wicket here and they will be well into the tail of Pakistan. Sarfiraz is a bad ODI bat. Imad does not inspire any confidence and then the ever so long tail who can swing a few.

Shadab Khan is a quality bat. Hasan Ali is no dud either

I disagree with your comments. Sri Lanks do have motivation but they are in terrible run of form in ODIs. Sometimes it just takes a one magical innings from the team to stop the terrible run of defeats. Although I do worry when they travel to India soon.
 
This is simply unacceptable, they should not be batting this slow.

Need to bat with more intensity. Play your shots, having this type of mindset is negative if one plays like this then when opposing team scores in excess of 300 runs. Its harder to get started.
 
Still can't believe we've found a patient n reliable n consistent batsman like BAbar ah after all those painful years of Misbah YK Farhat Akmals Shafiq n blah blah in ODI's

Add to it a 40+avg. 80+SR lefty is warming bench #Haris
 
Haris needs to be inducted in ASAP and we will witness the greatest Pakistani ODI batting pair ever, with Babar
