All of the sudden 239 looks like 539.

Need a big partnership.

Wouldn't go that far. Just looks like 300. A score which you would expect to get to and if you bat well, should get a good lead on.

May be. Anyways I want see him doing that. The guy deserves it.:azhar

Na lala, I wasn't speaking about his century. You said he was going to SMASH a hundred. Hopefully he will score a century InshaAllah, we need that now.

That was only a joke, calm down :) We will get a lead. Still alot of batting (tuk tuk) to come.

Yeah OK. Smash is something unknown for Azhar. Agreed.

I dont think we will be able to get same sort of lead that we got in the 1st match...

True, but if the pitch still offers something for the bowlers, we may not need that much. 100-150 may be gold.

Certainly pitch looks to have more life compared to Abu-Dhabi...

But dont really know for how long pitch will offer assistanc to bowlers it will flatten out in some time

It's funny how 550 at 2.9 runs an over looks pretty decent right now eh?

Ok, 70 overs after this. Trail by 150 odd.

Even if we go at 2.5 rpo, we will get 175, so lead of around 25. That should be the minimum aim.

This partnership...

21 runs, 5.3 overs, RR: 3.81

:)))

Wonder how long this will continue.

What is the problem with Dilshan. Why he wants to change the ball again.

Dont really understand what Taufeeq was upto?? he just scored a 200 runs in the last test match but still he looked clueless and didnt knew how to score. thats the reason why he never became a very good batsmen. he is just a avg player. on a flat wkt he batted with so much confusion against a minor bowling attack, wonder what will he do against good bowling attack on seaming pitches??? i was very dissapointed by taufeeq. he should have batted with agression and with super confidence should have easily counter attack the bowling of lankans.

Hafeez was batting good but wrong lbw. idiot umpir. hope now azar and younis comes to the rescue......both are looking good and lankans has been very impressive by their bowling but very lazy batting from our side....hope we get a 200+ runs lead atlest .

Pakistan's top 5 are one dimensional cricketers. They struggle to take singles or rotate the strike. All five have this problem in ODIs.

Far too boring to watch, unless if it actually was a good bowling attack. Total turn off.

If we score @ 2.5 runs per over for the rest of the day. We will end up making 253 today. With the same run rate if we survive 60 overs of day 3,we will score 403. That will be a lead of 164. That's the best we can post I think. Lets see how things turn up in the next session.

Yes, that should be the aim and that would be a good lead.

First session run rate 1.9 ...

great going guys on track what captain wants .... DRAW

need to mvoe faster and lose some more wickets..probably 3 more for another 80 odd runs in no time! bring back malik the lightspeed merchant!

Ball is reversing a bit...

This pitch is not like the last one even lead of 100-150 can be handy

It seems yesterday's 9 overs were a blip and we've gone back to the tuck tuck mentality.

Can't stress the importance of singles enough. Dead batting cost us victory in the first test and unless we are careful it will do the same here.

Should be looking to score at least 3.25 runs per over. 2.5 is inexcusable.

Moving at a snails pace, but there is definitely intent, but the bowling is just too good, as well as the field setting. No easy runs given away, unlike :misbah who loves to give easy runs away for fun...

Looks like pakistani batsmen are just looking to survive, and any bonus runs off edges or extras are the only salvation.
