Azhar should bring Malik from other end, because, Yasir is totally useless.
 
I really want Yasir to surprise me with his bowling, but he really isn't growing on me. Generally speaking, I don't like to be proven wrong but Yasir is one player I would love to have a humble pie for, because I really like his character.

However, purely as a bowler, I don't believe he is anything more than decent and looks pretty ordinary on flack decks, because as a leg spinner, he can't contain if there isn't much purchase in the wicket. Seems to be good on day 4 and day 5 of Test matches only, and has a lot to prove in the first 2 innings.

People definitely overrate his bowling ability because of Warne's infatuation.

375 or 475. You can't play attacking cricket in the mid overs unless batting team is well on top. He is playing perfectly by building up the rrr and forcing Zim to play their shots.

I think Yasir is Pakistan's worst spinner. Which is bad to see since we're known for producing world class spinners

Lol that's the point. They're not playing their shots. There have already been two catches at slips except there were no damn slips.

I think it would have been tough for pak even at home if they were playing one of the top 8

You're a slow one, eh. I just said they're looking for some batting practice. Runs will give them confidence for the next game, and you don't want them gaining confidence.

Lol "batting practice". They came here to win and to prove a point. They aren't batting to practise, they're batting to win. I may be the slow one, but I'm surely ahead of you.

The spinners were doing really well and looked like getting a wicket. Why bring on Sami?

People talk about our batsmen doing well on the super flat home pitches but our bowling is not good enough anymore to restrict the good batting units to anything less than 300 on these surfaces. We were able to do so in UAE because the pitches are slower and Ajmal was chucking, but in Pakistan we have neither of those luxuries.

I really don't see us beating Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India and perhaps even Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Limited Overs on these surfaces.
 
I think sami must have a world record.

The number of times he has been it for fours 3 times in a row.
 
I wish I could take a sledgehammer to these flat road pitches.

We don't have a world class bowling lineup anymore so what's the point ? Prepare sporting pitches, bit of grass and at least give our lads some assistance - as this bunch needs it.
 
I think Chigumbura would be really appreciated in a world class team.
 
And it was also Chigumbura who hit Sami for 3 consecutive sixes. New bunny anyone?:srt
 
Wanted to see how Hammad's bowling action looked like today, it looked horrible in his U19 days.

Our issue is we don't have bowlers who can utilize new ball (swing new ball). Also, now we don't have Ajmal, who use to come in the middle to stop run flow and take wickets.

I see opening bowling issue might be resolved when Amir is back, but still don't know who will share new ball with him.

Secondly, we need a good regular spinner for middle overs.
 
Bring shoaib malik on. Force them to play big shots.

On a pitch like this and Zimbabwe's weak bowling attack, a 5-bowler strategy was tailor-made.
 
Ajmal. Gul. Junaid. Hafeez. Malik.

Get rid of all the other bowlers.

Apart from Wahab the bowling has looked impotent in this match, Anwar Ali and sami have bowled to many loose balls and spinners havent looked great either, zimbos might not win game but our bowling needs to improve!

I was being metaphorical, and no I was raised in England. Never played cricket in Pak.
 
There have been numerous occasions of the ball falling in no mans land today. Either somethings wrong with the dimensions or there could be a Bermuda Triangle-esque thing going on here.
