True, I'd like to see him against some quality bowling before jumping to conclusions. Any hack would look great against some pie bowling every now and then and give people false hopes.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves again.

Has a lot to do with knowing the grounds and pitches. They have been playing on such pitches since they were kids. NOw dont Tell me UAE pitches are similar to Pakistani pitches because they are not.

Batting order is deep and really its gnna be an embarrassment if we don't win it from here
 
but he looks like a hack, Id suggest people to keep expectations low.

might do an Imran Nazir ala 2007 Wt20 job for us though
 
Zimbabwe's bowling has been terrible. Thrown away their good batting performance.

Our record in Pakistan has been average for a long time in Limited Overs cricket, I don't buy this sorry.

This has everything to do with some very poor bowling and the urgency of having to chase 173.
 
T20 is all about show. The bowling and fielding was sad. Great to see our batsmen giving the crowd the show they want. They stood in the heat in lines and endured a lot to see it.
 
To be honest, good batting but the bowling has been completely dreadful. Easy pickings.
 
Zimbabwe highest first innings total has been 200/2 and 186/7 and they both lost that match. It was against NZ and SA. And now 173 against Pakistan.

Sadly they just dont have the bowlers to defend these mammoth totals.

This would NEVER happen in UAE because pitches r just awful for stroke play or strike rotation.
 
Just imagine combo of Mukhtar , Nauman opening in next world T20 on indian roads, bowlers nightmare. And even if only of them fire in one inning we will still be of to a flier, pak will be favorites for title especially with amir come back.
 
everyone her is gettiing wet for Mukhtar. They should realize that he ain't the answer. If anyone Nauman is ur man:najam

shehzad is for a full recall and his world cup performances will be forgiven by selectors umar akmal wishes to be out there so bad right now lol so he can do the same.

Honestly...Pak don't need a technically correct batsman at the top of the order in T20s. Just somene who could score quickly like a young Afridi. Mukhtar could be perfect for that role

Are you talking about the team's record of players individual records in Pakistan? Because i am talking about individual performances by Pakistani players in Pakistan.
 
I just came back from work and I thought I had connected to an IPL match instead of a Pakistan match. Can someone tell me if Mukhtar actually played as well as this scorecard suggests? Shehzad seems to be his usual self.

next T20WC is in india

he's a hack and wont last long in most countries but might just be the tonic we need for that tournament

The difference that crowd support has on players. It has been admirable that our players have done well despite playing in front of a handful of people, during their "home" games.

Looking very confident and feeding off the crowd.

Weird to think Umar Akmal has a faster 50 against an attack of Johnson, Tait and Nannes. Those guys weren't exactly trundlers

Mukhtar Ahmed has shown nothing to suggest that he is a hack. He's been slogging it because that is what you do in T20s. He has decent/good averages in FC and List A cricket and is only 23.

if he didn't do somewhat well in this situation he should have retired from t20s
 
fastest 100 coming? Mukhtar need to score next 45 runs in 18 balls to break that record

Also we don't need the most beautiful batsmen to open T20 matches in the subcontinent.
 
50 up from Mukhtar but another rank delivery from Zimbabwe.

Still gotta put those bad balls away and Mukhtar's done that well today.
 
Good shot. People are just calling him a hack because he's scoring quickly. Then Shehzad is called a hack because he can't score quickly. Easily the most overused term on PP.
