Cuz we need a spinner. On what basis does Talat get in the ODI XI. His performances in List A get him into the squad sure, but he can only get in the eleven if Haris moves to opener and Imam is dropped. Which I prefer tbh. Just don't think management will think outside the box like that.

Nawaz is a good substitute fielder.

We are known for blooding youngsters, Shaheen won't learn much from stifling garbage batsman on rubbish wickets without having to present a semi-decent seam position. He has the attributes, get him the experience, he'll be replacing Junaid who is a steaming pile of you know what. A steaming pile of you know what that you proudly inducted into your side.

Kamran is the only other opener we have who can belt rapid fast bowlers inside the powerplay.

Usman could play instead of Fahim in ODIs. Atm though Fahim's been bowling well and offers more with the bat. If Fahim shows mettle with the bat in the international arena, you could bump him up to 7 and drop Maqsood.

We are a bowling side, most of our success in limited overs cricket is on the back of 5 proper 10 over bowlers, that's not something worth giving up. I treat Fahim as a potential 10 over bowler so I'd definitely squeeze another specialist bowler in.

T20s we're sorted, guys can hang around for 20 overs. But in ODIs we just can't make up a strong batting line up. It all looks quite vulnerable, a few early wickets and then left with all rounders and bowlers to scratch their way to 250-275. To get to 300+ it needs a miracle zaman innings, otherwise it will be a real struggle for the rest of the team.
