It looks like a deliberate mistake, 'i' and 'j' are quite apart from 'g' on any keyboard/keypad and besides who doesn't know Bejing? Those covering his China visit at least should have known the name of the Chinese capital. May be some harsh critic of Imran took this opportunity to malign him and his government. There needs to be accountability for this slip, if I am not wrong PTV is the state broadcaster like India's Doordarshan which makes the blunder look even worse.

To be fair, they might have spelled Beijing incorrectly and then "fixed" it by clicking on the computer-generated suggestion without looking.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has ordered for immediate removal of Arshad Khan from the post of Managing Director (MD) of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) after the state-run news channel was involved in a major goof-up during Prime Minister Imran Khan's recent visit to China.
PTV news channel spelled the dateline "Beijing" as "Begging" on the top left corner of the screen during the live broadcast of Mr Khan's speech in China.
The typo continued to remain visible on-screen for around 20 seconds and became a target of trolling by netizens.
Mr Khan was on his maiden visit to China from November 2 to 5 at the invitation of the Chinese leadership.

Good decision...
Indian news source so lets hold our horses.
They seem to have a closer eye on our country and her current affairs than ourselves. Weird.

I wrote an email to Dawn about Indian trolls on their websites. I never expected a reply and didnt get one. The Indians are obsessed with PK instead of Modis corruption- maybe they too are looking for an honest leader.
I used to visit these new websites and also have a cursory look at the comments section. They are all filled with Indians trolling away on any news related to Pakistan. Often my comment in response to them would be moderated but theirs would stay. Wonder who these news agencies are loyal to.
It may not necessarily be his fault though. Someone from a lower grade may be responsibleHe's sacked! Good job. I am not buying this being a mistake for a minute.
