In another setback to the rapidly degrading India-Bangladesh relations, Bangladesh is reportedly seeking to acquire Short Range Ballistic Missiles (SRBM) from Pakistan to bolster its defense capabilities and deterrence against a possible Indian attack, an intelligence report has revealed.

According to a report quoted by defense website Indian Defence Research Wing (IDRW), Bangladesh has approached Pakistan to procure the Abdali SRBM, which has a range of 400 km, apparently to act as a deterrent against an attack by India.

The intelligence report stated that Pakistan is likely to agree to the request for two main reasons, first to expand its regional influence by supporting Dhaka, currently at odds with New Delhi, and second, because selling the Abdali SRBMs would not significantly change the strategic balance against Pakistan because these missiles have a short range and can only be realistically and potentially used against India, with whom Bangladesh shares a long border.

However, the IDRW report noted that in order to fulfill Dhaka's request, Islamabad would have to carefully navigate global arms control regimes, such as the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), which could eventually influence the final decision, even though neither country is a part of the MTCR.

Anyway, I support the idea of improving military capabilities.
 
Pakistan should share military technology with Bangladesh if it helps rebuild ties between the two nations. As long as India has no hostile intent towards it's neighbours there would be no reason to deploy them inshallah.

Neither Pakistan nor BD will violate the MTCR because of fear of sanctions.

If both are not a threat to the so called sovereignty of India, then India's media was never selling content by speaking only about Pakistan and making a fuss over fake news about Hindu genocide in Bangladesh during the regime change. The fact is India is still afraid of Muslims reclaiming the throne.

The last time Muslims had considerable political power over the dominions of Mahabharat, Hindus faced a real threat of ethnic genocide when Muslim rulers left the Hindu majority with only two options either to convert or face the sword. This is the root cause of the problem we have with the Islamists (a foreign religion to subcontinent) on our land.

It is a well documented fact supported by honest Pakistan historians and political analysts that Pakistan military raped Bangladeshi women in the most horrific attempt to alter Bangla DNA and yet many decades later the Bangladeshi men claim to be brothers with them.

This is primarily why Afghans are at a different level as men and Muslims and i respect them for that. They are as rightly said by most, more closer to the original Muslims of the Arab world and lack the Beghairat convert DNA of the lower caste folk in their lineage.

I don’t know why Pakistanis do this to themselves. Sanatanis read, remember and come prepared for debates. We don’t just come to online forums being ignorant and to humiliate ourselves and our people. Look if you are genuinely comparing India (5th largest economy) with an absolute 3rd world like Bangladesh whose existence half of the world is not aware, you are deluding yourself. Atleast your previous regime was taking the country in right direction and was attempting to make it independent. Now it is just another Pakistan and Afghanistan level country which is run by America and China. Good luck to you but just stop killing Hindus/Christians as they are your citizen too.

The rest of the world still sees India as a third world country as well. If anything India is THE third world country. As you so correctly pointed out, India is far more recognised than Bangladesh or Pakistan, hence you get the slums depicted in India in Hollywood films like The Avengers, not the other countries of the subcontinent.

Muslims are flourishing in India. That is why their population has increased from 1947 to now where as minority population have seen steep decline in the 3 shinning light countries like Pak, Afg & BD. We see our eastern border is crossed regularly by illegal Bangladeshis but given a choice no Indian Muslim would ever want to migrate to any of these 3 nations. Bcoz they also realize the liberty of barking on anything without repercussion they can only get in India.

We are heirs to ancient India. We and Bangladeshis can use the name India wherever we like. Most of the dishes being sold are dishes originated during the glorious my Mughal era. How many whites do you think are going into restaurant to eat Kumar food?

We have beef with modern India but are proud of ancient India which our ancestors ( Hindu and Muslims). It is the culture we are proud of and you guys want to do away with that is made India famous worldwide.

Indians migrate to USA and UK illegally for economic reason where as minorities from Islamic nations like BD, Afg and Pak flee due to religious persecution. So there is a difference.

Most Muslims from Pakistan and Bangladesh don’t know anything about ancient India of Buddhists or Hindus, biggest example being the greatness of Ellora caves, as consistently on this forum as well Indians get mocked as Hindus have no architecture.

It is not right to mock them as these structures were built using advanced engineering techniques.

However if a person is ignorant about them then they aren't losing much as these structures have very little global significance.

They have a lot of global significance , the very reason they came to have significance among “modern” Indians itself is because West made it popular.

I think If India has its right to arm then so does Bangladesh. Either call for disarmament for all or simply just countries should mind their own business
