Indian Abdul samad is a journey man. WIll stay as one. But he won't even make second XI. He has power. You need supplementary skill batting at that position. He played some fantastic cameos for Cummins SRH. Good with finishing for IPL teams. Tewatia was even more clutch. He had no chance of playing for India.

Abdul Sammad is a superior version of Asif Ali. He must develop ramp shots otherwise good yorker bowlers will trap him.

Both are our brothers and we wish both of them success in this life and the hereafter.
Ameen ☝️

It’s a great name but not very common imo. What are the odds that both have the same name, both are batsmen and on TV and have broken through near national level.

With that being said my vote is with Abdul Samad.

Every batsman alive that can play a delivery around chest height is a superior version of Asif “Can I suggest as captain..?” Ali

Disagree ^ thought from the video that he doesn’t seem to have any natural timing. Had to use his power to get the ball over the ropes and really should have been caught out early.

Asif ali was rubbish but had better overall timing on his aerial shots.

Just seen Abdul and he too has real power. But the difference is in confidence. The Aussie guy looked more assured. But Abdul Samad also has real potential.

But this is the reason I was adamant that the PSL gains from using the IPL window- we get the up and coming guys and the next tier
Tbh, PSL has always given a spotlight to up-and-coming foreign talents; Malan, Livingstone, Salt, Tim David, Harry Brook...and many others I can't remember. I think you could argue that PSL has been far more fruitful for overseas talent than it has been for local talent.

Hopefully the local talent will come through. We need a strong domestic setup and lots of real competition. As Fawad Ali showed, real talent does exist but it's missed by an awful, self serving and corrupt system.

Indian Samad will never play for india due to too much talent in india while Pakistani samad is already Play for pakistan. :kp

Look at FC stats

Indian samad - 40 Avg , 96 strike rate with 6 century and 6 fifty , Highest score - 128

Pakistani Samad - 12 Avg, 38 strike rate ,0 century and 2 fifty , Highest score - 59

:kp

Abdul samad from Jammu and Kashmir was highly rated tennis ball cricketer.

He and umran were one over(satta)specialists. They were the most famous tennis ball players in jammu and kashmir.

Abdul samad may never get selected for india but hopefully he will have a good career in IPL.

Abdul samad from pakistan looks decent as well he failed in New Zealand but he looks much better than Usman big teeth hack and other losers Pakistan have tried recently.

He should be given more chances in favourable conditions.

Indian Samad is a good domestic first class batter. He often rescues J&K in Ranji with his belligerence.

And he is doing his role decent enough in IPL.

Abdul Samad from J&K is a proper player not a tape ball player like Pakistani Samad.

Indian samad has a great domestic record. Just look at his strike rates. Boy likes to go big.

I don't rate local smad highly becuase he looks like a tulla player infront of indians.

But his competition is with Usman khan , Hasan Nawaz ,Niazi type players . :kp

Hind Abdul is a decent hitter but might not play for India ever. May be if India plays two or three T20 series simultaneously then yes he has a chance. Don't forget he also has the K pass with him.

Pak Abdul is a real monster hitter. The ease with which he is clearing those big PSL boundaries is not matched by many. He's sure to become the core of Pak batting lineup for many years. He also has age on his side. Being a Pak Abdul, he's obviously good 5-6 years younger than the Hind Abdul.
Good luck to both of them. :inti

The stars are aligning & my prophecy might be coming true.

What were the odds of this happening?

Abdul Samad. Not a name you hear every day and yet, yesterday, two men bearing it lit up two brotherly & emotionally wounded nations.

Both right-handed batters. Both young, explosive, and largely unknown. Both playing on the same day, in rival leagues, across a border carved by politics but not by spirit.

This is no coincidence brother. Always remember that the universe whispers before it speaks. It might be a subtle sign that the subcontinent remembers its oneness and our reunification oh hearts and borders could be a matter of when rather than if. The echo has begun.

Bless these two young men who might contribute to Dil-ki-nazdeeqiyan.

He is trash
Both Samads are rubbish vs any high pace quality bowling.

Very few players are good against high pace quality bowling. These guys are bashers in t20s and likely won't be around to face more than 20 balls because of their batting position. For their specific role in the T20 format they don't need to have too much ability for high quality pace. There are probably only a handful of high quality pace bowlers around anyway.

I like the thread title only being, Abdul Samad vs Abdul Samad.
The other details ruins the whole title.

Hey man can you make a pace bowling thread for all quicks from psl or domestic Pakistan quetta league?

Sir, my threads get removed usually. You will have to ask someone.

Threads only get removed when:

1) We already have a thread on a similar topic (then we just merge the threads together because there is no point having 5 threads on the same topic)
2) If the threads are based on fake news
3) If there is nothing put in the OP (original post)
4) If there is abuse directed towards a player / other memeber. (There is a difference between abuse and criticism)

You and @kron are free to make whatever threads you want, we appreciate them! Just make sure they abide by these simple guidelines.

Wish both Abdul Samad all the best both are quality players. Love the name as my son is called Abdul
Samad and same age as these guys what a coincidence.

Given the fact that one is going through the Pakistan cricket structure and the other through the Indian cricket structure it’s obvious the Indian one will excel further.

PCB ruins players, BCCI grooms them. At this stage India can field 2 playing XIs that could compete well against any opposition with the amount of depth that have.

This is it

The bcci know the players are the money makers and will take care of them very well

The pcb is the opposite

Pak Abdul is four years older than Indian one

Just check the difference in FC record.
End of thread.
But they are not going to play test cricket. Pakistan needs a finisher for T20 cricket and Samad could be that player. Indian samad is never going to play for national team because India has better options available than him
Quality wise - Indian samad > Pakistani samad. :kp
