Meet Saad Masood, a talented and promising young cricketer from Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Saad has represented several prominent teams, including Pakistan Under-19s, Northern Under-16s, Peshawar Zalmi, and various Rawalpindi regional teams.

With his impressive skills and experience across different age groups and formats, Saad Masood is definitely one to watch in the future of Pakistan cricket.

Saad Masood played a superb cameo down the order on his List A debut in a partnership with his U19 teammate Rizwan Mehmood to take SNGPL to a comfortable total in the semi-final against Wapda in President's One-Day Cup 2024.

Saad Masood shone with both bat and ball!

The Rawalpindi-born leg-spin all-rounder took 2 wickets, conceding less than a run per ball.

He then topped it off with an exceptional cameo alongside his skipper, Iftikhar Ahmed.

Saad Masood, Mehran Mumtaz, Arafat Minhas, & Qasim Akram (to some extent) are players who should be invested in for the next few months/years. One dimensional players like Faisal Akram, Sufyan, & Abrar should be no where near the main team. We've already lost a decent player in Hassan, we cannot afford to lose more players like this.

Agreed but mehran needs to improve his batting. Saad masood batting has improved drastically since PJL which is good to see but bowling wise he also needs a massive improvement.

I agree the likes of Faisal Akram, sufiyan and Abrar won't last much because they are no 11s with the bat while being pretty average fielders.

3 dimensional cricketers who can neither bat nor bowl. Likes of Shadab Nawaz?

3 D cricketers are the biggest curse for Pakistan we expect an Afridi and Razzaq from them they give us Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf I would rather we work on specialists who excel at 1 skill these railu kattas are neither here or there

They are not a curse, they are the way forward for cricket. If we don't have good ones, it doesn't mean it's bad to have them, it just means we need more effort to develop 3d cricketers (barring one exception where international cricket will adapt to the rule of super sub in white ball formats).

Shadab and Fahim are primary examples of players failing to evolve with time as well as being content with their bare minimal skillset. The pursuit of excellence is the matter of internal drive for the player, if a player doesn't have that drive, they will fail even as a specialist (case study of so many specialist players in Pak who started with a bang, stagnated, & ultimately disappeared).

We may not get an Imran, but an Abdul Razzaq or an Afridi will do as well for this current team.
