You are a balanced, neutral poster bro. I wish in the future people debate the points instead of attacking posters or indulging in whataboutism and getting aggressive. This is a sensitive topic and I honestly believe that we can not judge the borderline cases with available technology in real time. I don't think Hafeez blatantly chucked (right or wrong, just my perception), maybe because of his history there is a confirmation bias for fans. We don't give nearly as much attention to those who haven't yet been called. Ideally every bowler should be made to undergo the test in lab and the numbers made public so that we have a clear idea of where everyone stands. ICC hasn't given this much thought, it is good that we have anti-chucking rules but the implementation is far from perfect.
I do believe that some of our Indian bowlers in IPL chuck, for instance the highly decorated Harbhajan Singh. But we can not do much unless ICC and all boards come together and devise a plan or methodology to monitor chucking at the international level. Maybe like doping have regular periodic tests of all bowlers, even the clean action ones, pick a random match and make them simulate some suspicious deliveries from that match. And just like doping this should be done twice, thrice a year for the entire span of their international careers. There has to be some data to work with, based on 2D images we can't estimate the angles, it isn't fair on the bowlers and match officials.
Thank you for the kind words bro.
There is a LOT more I have to share about chucking about more players but I don't cos unless there is conclusive proof, I don't do it.
As for Hafeez, I get your views. It's just that there is nothing borderline about it. It won't clear the tests in my view.
Chucking in the past had a simple rule....if it looked like a chuck, it was a chuck.
Then tests in 2000s messed it up. Something could look like a chuck but not be a chuck in testing (how Bhajji, Ajmal and so many others cleared the tests).
Then situation got so worse that ICC tweaked the approach and those who started looking like chuckers were indeed proven to chuck in testing. The reason how this happened was.....the methodology probably changed a bit...but the biggie was bowlers were now asked to bowl in a way that their images could be SUPERIMPOSED on the actual images from the game. So no more fooling around.
As for borderline, in my view, the one bowler whom I can't say for sure chucked or not (under modern testing) is....
Muralitharan.
The ball that Darrell Hair called for chucking was a clean delivery.

He will easily clear the tests if he bowled like that.

However, later on, his action changed....or atleast it appeared so.
When someone in the other forum said...Murali's action was clean in 90s but he was chucking in the 2000s....I didn't believe it.
But I when I went and saw this....my heart broke. It wasn't clean for sure. It was in risky territory.
Plus his action, arms and everything make it hard to judge.
The only borderline case in my view.
To be fair to Murali, he always was ready to prove himself. Even bowled with braces. So I am sure even if he was tested over the limit, he could have adjusted and bowled properly.
He was a champion bowler.
