[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Is Mushfiqur Rahim the best batter in Bangladesh?

Mushfiqur Rahim is just one century short of equaling Mominul Haque's record for the most Test centuries by a Bangladeshi batsman. Mominul leads the chart with 13 centuries from 133 innings, while Mushfiqur has 12 from 178 innings, showcasing his longevity and resilience in the format. Tamim Iqbal follows with 10 centuries in 134 innings. With Mushfiqur still active in Test cricket, he has a strong chance of surpassing Mominul's record and becoming Bangladesh’s leading century-maker in the format.

Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim etched his name into the record books during the ongoing first Test match against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium.

Rahim scored his 12th Test century, becoming the oldest non-opener to achieve the feat in Test cricket.

He surpassed the previous record held by Pakistan legend Younis Khan, who scored a century against Sri Lanka in 2015 at the age of 37 years and 216 days.

Mushfiqur Rahim is statistically the best Test batter for BD (all time).

- He has the most Test runs for Bangladesh (6200+ runs).
- He has the 2nd highest Test average for Bangladesh (38+).
- He has the 2nd most Test centuries for Bangladesh (12 centuries).
- He was involved in 5 out of 6 highest Test partnerships for Bangladesh.

Rahim has been a top player for Bangladesh. I would rate him among top 3 along with Shakib and tamim.
