[PICTURES/VIDEOS] National T20 Cup 2024-25 - Discussion thread

Sharjeel Khan is > any era babar and rizwan in t20.

In odi babar at peak is > him. Although their roles were different. Sharjeel was an opener and his task was to provide an amazing start in powerplay while babar was to stabilise and bat through.

Similar to Travis head vs Prime Steve smith. Prime smith in odi is better, but head is defo more dangerous then any era smith.

Sharjeel > Any era rizwan though. It still baffles me why pakistani fans put rizwan on a high pedestal tbh.

Rizwan hype i never understood to this day. Babar hype i can understand, can't understand rizzu hype. He's a very bang avg batsmen, who gets the best wicket keeping batter tag but his competition isn't gilly, Sanga or Dhoni 😭😭.

Every country has produced atleast one better keeper then pakistan, Zimbabwe included as they produced brendon Taylor
From the evidence so far, Babar is a flop ODI opener versus Sharjeel who was a proven gun!

Good battle between young guns, both from Karachi Blues and Quetta. Good opening bowlers and energetic young opening batsmen

I actually thought haseebullah wud do well when he came on the scene but has let me down big time
I knew it from day one he is in the same mould of Rizwan and Babar. Abdullah Shafique too. This kid Bangalzai as well.

There is no doubt Pakistan will always continue to produce exciting fast bowling talent.

Haseebullah 11 off 15 during the powerplay

typical nonsense. Dont understand why this guy is so highly rated for T20

In this format Haseebullah looks the same as he was 2-3 years ago. Had potential but doesn't look like he has worked on his game and improved much. If he doesn't then he'll slowly fade away.

Correction- Haseebullah the aspirant to topple Rizwan , one among many as AzamKhan, Haris , Usman, Rohail, Akhlaq

But but but, you would have anyone except RizBar, right?

So now enjoy Haseebullah!!!

Every 2nd bowler seems to be around 135k+ consistently and can move the ball with high accuracy.

Pace bowling talent is good here

Exactly , really impressed by the fast bowling talent and even the young batters are not looking bad on these low bounce flat wickets.

The talent on display is better than local PSL talent for sure.

We are investing in the wrong guys in both Abbas and Jahandad, we have better and quicker bowlers playing domestic cricket.

All these young Pakistani fast bowlers look 145 + to me. The natural athletic ability is far superior to India , Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Such easy pace generated :inti

The two young openers for Karachi Blues have impressed me so far i.e. Abdullah and Jahanzeb (Jahanzeb got out on zero today but this happens). I really look forward to see them facing better bowlers in the coming games to see if they have it in them to rise with the competition.

This Faiq guy has been consistently good

This bloke replaced Ahmed Shahzad last year and was performing well at the back end of last year’s tournament too

He scored century on his debut last season. Today he scored another one.

Fariq looks like the best product in this national cup.Abdullah Fazal also looks good.

I think Ubaid is almost ready for the national team provided if he perform in this tournament and then PSL , the guy got everything in him , pace , bounce, swing , seam and plus he is intelligent and knows how to pickup wickets , really loved it when he outwit cha-cha the other day.

He was far behind Ali Raza at the U19 level but now he is way ahead of him in terms of completeness.

Absolute mauling for Rizbar critics both at domestic and international level, admit it you guys were wrong our cricket is in mess the talent coming through needs proper guidance and mentoring just like Babar did with Saim on foreign tours.

Mubasir is such a limited batter, can’t even middle 50% of the deliveries on this phatta against both trundlers and spinners.
His horrible innings comes to end and even though he almost batted at 200 sr he looked more like a tailender than a top order batter today.

No don’t rush him like his brother he needs two seasons of red ball

He is not that quick, 135/136k his top speed I think.
That’s good enough for his type of pacer he will not be a T 20 bowler, test match length bowling is his forte and he needs to be groomed for that . I would be interested to know is he an age faker or a genuine 19-20 as listed
