Out or not out?

Controversy with the Shan Masood dismissal in 1st Test against Bangladesh - he was given out caught behind but he felt the ball hit his pad rather than bat.

Regardless of decision, Shan needs to be careful about his behaviour and conduct as captain

It's clearly not out. An umpire could give a wrong decision but the third ump doing that with multiple replays is shocking

Yes the snicko edge was a frame after the ball had passed the bat. Third umpire said that but still gave wrong decision. mind boggling

This, no one noticed or saw his attitude.

He did this in the psl as well. Both he and shadab picked the most fights.

Shan is desperate to succeed - needs to watch his behaviour now.

not out. there is clear daylight in the picture on right side ball is past bat. also notice spike level is very low indicating pad vs bat spikes are using higher especially for fast bowler/new ball, etc. also consider on field was not out, he should have got benefit of doubt.

yup his reaction as a captain was a bit stupid one.. now must be getting penlaized for his behaviour after his dismissal

He’s showing passion for his nation. Nothing wrong with that. He wanted to be out there and fight for his team.

Don't think it was out The sound was more a pad sound than a bat sound. Shan was unlucky there.

should have stuck with on field umpires decision, need conclusive evidence to overturn. having said that, was a terrible defensive shot with so much room between bat and pad.

Shan's decison was wrong. However who cares? This dude is clueless with on anything putched below waist height

Doesn't matter a bit... Would have been out next ball anyway...He is over reacting as if he would have scored a triple hundred here...

It was not out, but I always ask pakistani fans, If someone like kohli was given out like this when playing against pakistan, would you have made such threads? Or had the same opinion?

Just live with the icc decisions and move on.

Shan wouldn't have lasted anyway. One good thing that came from this is that this should settle the debate about having Shan because he's quote on Quote PROFESSIONAL .

I've vocally told multiple people. Speaking english, and having degrees doesn't do anything for you. Their are millions of people with degrees and billions of people who can speak English and communicate well, yet most of them are medicore and don't know how to conduct themselves.

Degree + English speaking skills =/= well educated or skillful.

Shan masood is not as professional as Kohli nor as skilled deapite him having higher educational status.

Yes that decision was wrong but tbh, Shan would have walked away in next few overs. He is the worst batter in the current team because he is good in English. Let him say some long sentences in English about this controversial decision and the rest of the team should focus on their job and win this game.

As if he was going to score a ton.. any decent cricketing nation Masood wouldnt have a international career over 3 months.

Only in Pak he would be made captain.

It doesn't matter what he would have done or could have done or should have done or how he has batted in the past or what his average is.

The umpires don't take a players ability into account when making a decision.

The wrong decision was made and the game needs to ensure that such mistakes aren't repeated. Technology is meant to improve decision making so a howler like this is quite a big deal.

Wrong decison was made, I agree laughing Emoji sir.

There wasn't enough evidence to overturn the original 'not out' decision
so it should have remained not-out IMO

not that it will make a difference to the game, but it will make a difference to masood's relevance in the side as he needs to improve his test stats.

Bro, Shan is clueless against anything that pitches below waist height, unless it's a full pitch delivery.

Look at how saud bats, He uses his wrist to maneuver it to the legside or just uses his front foot to play it.

Shan has no clue on how to do so. Even if that was not out, What's the wager he would have lasted while the pitch and the ball was seaming?

I don't think he is that bad by our standards. He, like Babar finds ways to get out. His average is very poor but a couple of 100s and it would become respectable

He is bad by all standards and no. Couple of hundred won't increase his average up to something respectable. A mediocre average of 32-33 won't help anybody.

But anyways, topic was about that wrong decision and the truth is it was not out.

I'm just saying I don't think it should have been given out.

I never commented on his technique, and I said it probably doesn't make a difference in any case to the outcome of the match.

Shan is a smart bloke. He's plucked his roots firmly in the UK so any ridicule after this poor test home season and he's off, showing the finger to the PCB.

This is what happens when clowns choose their masters.
