Politics - Pakistani 2018 General Election and post-election discussion

Which will be the top party after the upcoming general elections?

  • Total voters
    94
TLP won one provincial seat from Karachi. This and considering that they got a decent vote in Karachi is a very bleak and worrying moment for us.

TLP got the Jamaat vote. Jamaatis did not want MMA, because they don't like Fazlu, Barelvis or Shias in it

Hilariously, also probably why Fazlu lost as well

Congratulations to all posters on here.

Congratulations to all those that had given up hope on Pakistan.

Congratulations to all those who have waited decades for the grip of PMLN and PPP to be broken.

:)) Would have thought the official results would be out by now should have known better

What's the final estimate for each party (after allowing for those winning in multiple seats giving up all but one of their won seats)?

Can't quite imagine this in the National Assembly...

<div style="width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 73.171%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/s/l5ygv/gtzwfw" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen style="width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;"></iframe></div>

Can’t wait to see Amir Liaqat in the National Assemble. His presence will make it lively.

Push for 14 from Karachi and lets hope that we can get ahead on some in Punjab as well where we are slightly trailing.

all the traitors of the ANP have lost and its great to see Talal chaudhry go back to being a dihati sweeper!!

Amir Liaquat as member of the NA. Ye din bhi dekhna tha Pakistan ne. How does Article 62-63 not apply to him?

That was great decision by imran khan to ask liaqat to contest, no one else would have beaten sattar there no one. So its great politics trick he used and it worked.

A great political move, but a move that is completely against his ideology and what his party stands for. It is understandable that a lot of PTI supporters of NA-245 are disappointed because they had to swallow a very bitter pill in order to vote for him.

Article 62-63 needs to go. It is impossible to impose impartially without any bias.

Mate I understand it was a decision that doesn’t support his idealogy, but you have to understand that situation required everything possible to win against these corrupt mafia in Pakistan. So yes it was bitter pill to swallow but under imran he knows he has to deliver. Imran Khan will inject good motives injections to him soon.

Almost 2/3 majority for PTI in KP now they cant be black mailed :)) Can do some really good legislation there

People like him will not change his true colors and motives, but this is a challenge that Imran accepted by giving tickets to dodgy people so that he can win majority.

Keeping a lid on the electables will be the biggest challenge of Imran’s tenure, and it is something that will be used against him by the opposition.

Do you really think Imran Khan Cares about the oppositions, he knows where is the most chore are sitting in NA assembly. Imran khan has alot to deal with so yes 1st year as a PM will be the toughest he has in his life even more what he accomplished as a cricketer in his life.
