It's good to see old workers getting big post, even Asad Qasier is a great choice.

All the members that joined around 2011-2012 and before that are loyal to Imran Khan

Asad Qaiser is different, Imran Ismael just does not belong there. Hope, he does well now.

Who would you have put in that position? I'd heard Mumtaz Bhutto and Rashid Godil as rumoured names

Probably Mumtaz Bhutto declined. Some people also wanted some one from Karachi as CM belongs to interior Sindh. Within Karachi PTI had better people like Najeeb Haroon, Arif Alvi etc. But they themselves were not eager and the party also did not want people to vacate their NA seats due to very slim majority in the center.

Imran Ismael, lobbied for governor from the very beginning and things worked out well for him.

So, in the end Imran Ismael gets the position , he always dreamed about. On the other hand, most of the people are not getting their preferred jobs.
Even people like Pervez Khattak, Abdul Aleem Khan, Arif Alvi, SMQ are not getting what they were hoping for.

governors have no power it's mainly symbolic.

But it can still play its role. Governor is still respected a lot by lawmakers and administration. Governor has the resources to play its role. A governor gives an image of the politics at the center.

For a reason Ch Sarwar is leaving his senate seat to become governor. Even the symbolism of governor is respected by the bureaucracy, administration and lawmakers.

This is ridiculous, hilarious but probably the fairest way lol What's Kaptaan's record in winning tosses?

According to Ch Sarwar, pti commited grave mistakes in awarding tickets in Punjab. All those distributing the tickets need to be questioned and more importantly Aleem Khan.

Even for General seats, IIRC, law is to decide by flip of coin if two leading candidates are tied after 3 recounts.

I once read that it applies even for President elections in USA.

Shoaib Siddiqui robbed PTI of at least 5 NA seats and 10 PP seats in Gujranwala Division.

In Gujranwala district i don't think any NA ticket which was wrongly allotted. But yes around 3-4 PP seats in Gujranwala districts were not awarded according to merit.

Similarly, In Silakot except maybe Asjad Malhi , all others inculding Ghulam Abbas, Firdous, Brigadier shb and Usman dar were the best available candidates. In Narowal, we never had any chance against Ahsan Iqbal. Gujrat's NA tickets were also distributed fairly.

Inshort, out of around 2 dozen Gujranwala division seats , only couple of NA decisions were contentious.

Probably because of central board oversight NA tickets were largely distributed on merit. But poor provincial assembly distribution might have caused couple of NA and 4-5 PP seats.

Any idea what time the National Assembly will be in session today? And is it possible to catch the proceedings anywhere on TV? Pakistan should start a C-SPAN type thing, it would give the common man access to politics.

Expected 10AM pak time and and yes PTV News will show it live and other channels will get PTV feed as well.

I hear that PTI will have two ministries in Balochistan, I wonder what those will be ....

If PTI can end up with any one of health or education, it would be a game changer in Balochistan.

Brig sb specifically blocked his PMLn opponent meeting with PTI seniors. His opponent Rana Shamim wanted to join PTI and went to Bani Gala only for brig sb to block his meetings. Dr sba changed her MPA panel on demand and it costed her. Few more that I know.

Sarwar knows more than us and why would he publicy criticize if that was not the case. We lost around 32 seats out of 42 NA. Seats. It was a wipeout

So today they are going to caste votes for PM?

What else is happening? Been out of the loop, have been a bit busy.

So today they are going to caste votes for PM?

I think that today it'll just be the oathtaking ceremony for MNAs.

15th will be the election of the speaker and deputy speaker.

17th will be election of the PM and opposition leader.

18th will be the PM's oath-taking ceremony.

Listening to some PPP leaders, they say they will play the role of opposition BUT will support PTI on bills if they think it's in Pakistan's best interests.

Heard Khurshid Shah and Hina Rabbani Khar both say the same thing.

Correct, today is oath taking ceremony only.

Quite exciting to see so many young and new faces coming through.

Kind of surreal to see Zardari, Bilawal, Shahbaz and Imran all sitting so close together.

PTI will need to play the game properly as well, make sure the new bills are discussed and highlighted so any opposition to such bills is exposed and proper follow up is done, PPP can't afford to oppose bills that are potentially beneficial to average person.

Newly-elected MNAs take oath in landmark session today

ISLAMABAD: The maiden session of the 15th National Assembly will be held in the parliament building on Monday, setting the stage for democratic transfer of power from one civilian government to the next for the second time in the country’s history.

The session is expected to be stormy after the combined opposition had cried foul over perceived rigging in the general elections and blamed the Election Commission of Pakistan for failing to conduct transparent polls.

The opposition parties are claiming that their mandate has been stolen. While rejecting the election results, they vowed to agitate the issue both in parliament and out on the streets.

On Saturday, the top leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) finalised a joint strategy to be followed during the election of the prime minister as well as the National Assembly speaker and deputy speaker.

According to the agenda, elected lawmakers will take oath during the session to be part of the National Assembly for the next five years. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will take oath from the newly-elected members of the Assembly.

The first session will have two important activities in the ongoing week that will take place in two phases. In the first phase, speaker and deputy speaker of the house will be elected on August 15 (Wednesday).

The election for the leader of the house or prime minister is likely to be held on August 16 or August 17.

Constitutionally, Ayaz Sadiq is still speaker of the lower house until the selection of his successor. Then, the new speaker will take the charge and hold the election process for the deputy speaker. The election of both seats would be carried out through secret balloting.

Speaker

According to the rules of business of the house, the outgoing speaker (Ayaz Sadiq) will hold the election process for the incoming speaker.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Asad Qaiser for the post of the speaker, while the joint opposition, comprising 11 political parties, has fielded Syed Khursheed Shah for the post and Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s son Asadur Rehman for the post of deputy speaker.

As per the rules, if there are two candidates for the chair of speaker, then the one who secures more votes will be declared to be elected. Similarly, if both secure an equal number of votes, a fresh ballot shall be carried out until one of them secures more votes.

And the outgoing speaker will take oath from the newly elected speaker and hand the charge of the house over to him. The newly-elected speaker will hold a similar secret balloting process for the election of the deputy speaker and after his or her election the latter will take the oath.

The speaker is considered custodian of the house and as per the rules he is supposed to preserve the order and decorum in the house and in case of disturbance or disorder in the galleries, may cause them to be cleared.

And subsequently, in the absence of speaker, deputy speaker will have those powers to run the house.

Prime Minister

Similarly, the prime minister will then be elected as leader of the house and voting for him or her is held in open where galleries are designated with alphabets for the name of each candidate and those supporting a certain candidate can enter that gallery.

Leader of the opposition

After the election of the leader of the house, the speaker will inform the members about the date, time and place for the submission of a name for the leader of the opposition in the house under their signatures.

The speaker will declare a member leader of the opposition having the greatest numerical strength after verification of the signatures of the members.

Shehbaz Sharif is the joint candidate of opposition parties for the post.

After the notification on reserved seats by the ECP, the PTI tally reached 158 members in the National Assembly after it secured 28 reserved seats for women and five for non-Muslims.

The PML-N total strength has reached 82, the PPP 53; the MMA 15; the MQM-P seven; the PML-Q five; the BAP five; and the BNP four seats.

The National Assembly has 342 seats. Of these, 272 are filled by direct elections. While the reserved 10 seats for minorities and 60 seats for women are filled by proportional representation among parties.

PTI moves to mend fences with opposition

ISLAMABAD: Just a day before the inaugural session of the National Assembly, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in a reconciliatory mood reached out on Sunday to the two major opposition parties — the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) — with the desire to establish a “working relationship” while recognising the parliamentary might of the joint opposition.

A PTI delegation comprising Asad Qaiser, Fawad Chaudhry, Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mehmood and Omar Ayub Khan first called on the outgoing speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq of PML-N and then met PPP leaders in Islamabad.

The PTI delegation later also visited Balochistan House to discuss the government formation with Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Akhtar Mengal.

PTI information secretary Fawad Chaudhry told Dawn that they had met the leaders of the opposition parties on the directive of PTI chairman Imran Khan, as they knew that it would be difficult for them to run the affairs of the parliament smoothly without the cooperation of the opposition. He said the PTI knew that it would have to take the opposition parties along in the house to carry out its legislative agenda.

Responding to a question, the PTI leader confirmed that both the PML-N and the PPP raised the issue of the alleged rigging in the recent general election. “We have asked all the parties to come up with their complaints about the election process and the PTI is ready to resolve the matter,” he said.

He claimed that PTI’s gesture was appreciated by leaders of both the PPP and the PML-N.

Another purpose of the meetings was to formally invite the leadership of the opposition parties to the oath-taking ceremony on Aug 18. He said the PTI delegation delivered invitation for Shahbaz Sharif to Mr Sadiq and for PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and former president Asif Zardari to the PPP leaders including Syed Khursheed Shah and leader of opposition in Senate Sherry Rehman.

Sources in the PTI told Dawn that the party had requested Mr Shah to withdraw from the race for the office of the National Assembly speaker. However, they said, the PPP refused to do so.

Mr Shah is a joint candidate of 11 opposition parties.

The sources said the PTI leaders were also interested to know about the strategy of the opposition parties, which had announced to lodge a strong protest inside and outside the parliament during the inaugural session of the National Assembly against the alleged rigging in the polls.

When contacted, Ms Rehman said they had told the PTI that the PPP would play a positive and a responsible role of the opposition in the parliament. She said they had told the PTI leaders that they would not do the opposition the way the PTI had done in the previous assembly though “we are committed to play the role of a strong opposition”.

PPP secretary general Farhatullah Babar said no decision regarding the participation of the party’s chairman or co-chairman in the prime minister’s oath taking ceremony had been taken so far. He said they would take a decision after discussing the matter within the party.

Talking to the reporters after their meeting with PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq, the PTI delegation said they wanted to move forward with “mutual consultation” and wanted to develop a “working relationship” with all the parliamentary parties.

PTI’s Asad Qaiser, who has been nominated as the candidate for the office of the NA speaker, said the PTI wished to cooperate with other parties in order to counter economic and other challenges being faced by the country.

Mr Chaudhry said the PTI government would try to remove reservations held by opposition parties over the July 25 elections. He said the PPP and the PML-N were the “most respectable” parties of the country. He claimed that the PTI welcomed their decision of using the parliamentary forum for raising their concerns.

The PTI information secretary called for unity among the parties for tackling the serious economic and security issues.

About the PML-N’s complaints against the accountability process, Mr Chaudhry said the process would continue in accordance with the law and he believed that no party should oppose it.

Ayaz Sadiq, who will administer oath to the newly-elected MNAs today (Monday), said the proceedings of the house would be held in accordance with the law and Constitution.

Later, PML-N’s spokesperson and former information minister Marriyam Aurangzeb declared that the PTI delegation had met Mr Sadiq in his capacity as the outgoing speaker and not as a PML-N representative.

TV channels quoted her as saying that so far no meeting had taken place between the PTI and the PML-N leaders.

Responding to Ms Aurangzeb’s remarks, Mr Chaudhry said they had met Mr Sadiq in both capacities as the NA speaker as well as PML-N leader. He said they had delivered the invitation for prime minister’s oath-taking ceremony to Mr Sadiq for PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif.

After the issuance of notifications of the returned candidates on the reserved seats for women and minorities by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday, the PTI has 158 members in the National Assembly.

The PTI has already nominated former speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaiser for the office of NA speaker and he would face Syed Khursheed Shah of the PPP, a joint candidate of the 11-party alliance, Pakistan Alliance for Free and Fair Elections.

Similarly, PTI chairman Imran Khan will be contesting against PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif for the office of the prime minister.

PPP discusses strategy

To discuss the strategy for Monday’s session of the National Assembly, a meeting of the parliamentary group of the PPP was held at Zardari House.

Sources said that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari asked the party members in the meeting to ensure their presence in the parliament and do issue-based politics. Mr Bilawal said that since he was going to the parliament for the first time, he wanted to see the party playing a role of positive opposition.

An official handout later issued by the PPP quoted the party chairman as telling the newly elected members of the National Assembly that the PPP was resolute in its ideology and its slogan: “We will fulfil the promise made by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to save Pakistan.”

The PPP would raise the issues of people in the parliament, he said, adding that the party would tread the path of democracy and continue to fight for the rights of people.

Addressing the gathering, former president Asif Zardari said the PPP would continue to strengthen democracy. He added that the PPP would follow its manifesto from the opposition benches. He said the party had achieved excellent results in Sindh and “now we need to focus on Punjab, KP and Balochistan”.

Mr Zardari said the PPP wanted southern parts of Punjab to develop and prosper. A separate province comprising areas of southern Punjab was PPP’s mission, he said.

Over 85pc NA candidates lose security deposit

ISLAMABAD: As the nomination fee — commonly known as security deposit — of 2,870 of the total 3,355 candidates for the National Assembly will be forfeited for failing to obtain over 25 per cent of total votes polled in their constituencies according to official results, at least 10 party heads besides many other prominent politicians will not be refunded the money they had deposited.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto- Zardari, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Baloch National Movement chief Dr Abdul Baloch, Qaumi Watan Party president Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Pak Sarzameen Party president Mustafa Kamal, Taraqqi Pasand Party (TPP) chief Qadir Magsi, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (Gulalai) chief Ayesha Gulalai and Pakistan Awami Raaj (PAR) president Jamshed Dasti are on the list of those candidates hit by a legal provision of the Elections Act.

Under the Elections Act, the requirement of obtaining one-eighth of the total polled votes to qualify for refund of nomination fee had been changed to one-fourth apparently to discourage non-serious candidates.

The ratio of forfeitures was highest in Fata (95.48pc), followed by Islamabad (92.42 pc), Balochistan (91.98 pc) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (86.13pc), while the lowest ratio of forfeiture was in Sindh (84.46 pc) and Punjab (84.46 pc).

In Fata, 254 of the total 266 candidates are going to lose their nomination fee. In Islamabad, 61 of the total 66 candidates for three National Assembly seats failed to secure more than 25pc of the total votes polled.

Similarly, 264 of the total 287 candidates for NA seats from Balochistan and 354 of the total 411 candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could not meet the legal requirement for refund of nomination fee.

Besides, 696 of the total 824 contestants from Sindh and 1,241 of 1,501 from Punjab candidates will lose their deposit for failing to get over 25pc of total votes polled in their respective constituencies.

In Swat (NA-3), Shahbaz Sharif could bag only 22,766 of the total 161,872 polled votes, thus losing the fee that had been deposited along with his nomination papers.

Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will not be refunded his nomination fee that he had deposited for contesting from Malakand (NA-8) and Karachi (NA-246).

Maulana Fazlur Rahman and Mr Sherpao face embarrassment in their hometowns of D.I. Khan (NA-38) and Charsadda (NA-23) for failing to obtain 25pc of the polled votes.

Former MQM convener Dr Farooq Sattar lost his nomination fee for remaining unable to secure even one-fourth of the votes polled in NA-245 and NA-247 constituencies of Karachi.

The PSP chief lost his money deposited for contesting Karachi Central (NA-253) seat.

TPP chief Magsi failed to obtain 25pc votes from Nawabshah (NA-213), PkMAP chief Mehmood Khan Achakzai from Quetta (NA-265) and BNM chief Dr Abdul Hayee Baloch failed to obtain one-fourth of total polled votes from Dera Bugti (NA-259). ANP’s Sindh chapter president Shahi Syed and provincial chief of the JUP-Noorani Sahibzada Abul Khair also lost their deposits from Karachi (NA-250) and Hyderabad (NA-227), respectively.

Ayesha Gulalai will not be refunded her nomination fee that she had deposited to contest elections from Nowshera (NA-25), Islamabad (NA-53), Lodhran (NA-161) and Sujawal (NA-231). Similarly, Jamshed Dasti could not obtain over 25pc votes from any of the three constituencies NA-182 (Muzaf*fargarh) and NA-185 (Muzaffargarh) and NA-189 (D.G. Khan).

Many other prominent politicians, including at least one former governor, two former chief ministers, besides former federal ministers and lawmakers, are also on the list of the candidates who remained unable to get over 25pc votes.

Former federal minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry of the PML-N and PPP’s Afzal Khokar will lose their nomination fee for failing to obtain 25pc of the total votes polled in the Islamabad (NA-52) constituency.

MMA’s Mohammad Aslam and PPP’s Sibtul Haider remained unable to secure 25pc of total votes polled in Islamabad (NA-53) constituency from where PTI chief Imran Khan emerged victorious. Also Raja Imran Ashraf, brother of former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, will not be refunded his nomination fee that he had deposited to contest from Islamabad (NA-53). It was a close call for former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who won 44,314 votes against the minimum requirement of 44,114 votes.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PML-N’s Amir Muqam faced such a defeat from Swat (NA-2) and Peshawar (NA-29); Maulana Attaur Rehman, Maulana Gohar Shah and Ghulam Ali of the MMA met the same fate in Mardan (NA-20), Charsadda (NA-24) and Peshawar (NA-27), respectively. Nawabzada Mohsin Ali and Akhunzada Chitan of the PPP faced the same fate in Karak (NA-34) and Tribal Area-I (NA-40).

In Sindh, MQM’s Rauf Siddiqui, Waseem Akhtar, Syed Ali Raza, Kishwar Zahra; PPP’s Shehla Raza; MMA’s Asadullah Bhutto; and PML-N’s Miftah Ismael are among the prominent candidates whose nomination fee will be forfeited.

MQM’s Rauf Siddiqui failed to obtain even 25pc of the total votes polled in Karachi (NA-244) and Nawabshah (NA-213), Waseem Akhtar in Sanghar (NA-215), Kishwar Zahra and Syed Ali Raza in Karachi’s constituencies of NA-242 and NA-243. PPP’s Shehla Raza will lose the nomination fee she had deposited to contest elections from Karachi (NA-243). 331 MNAs take oath as 15th National Assembly is born

The first session of the 15th National Assembly is underway in Islamabad during which 331 members of the lower house of the parliament took oath after their election in the July 25 countrywide polls.

Outgoing NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq administered the oath to the MNAs-elect in the 342-member house, in what is a part of only the second democratic transition in the country's history.

Prime minister-in-waiting and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and other prominent political leaders, including PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari, are present in the assembly for the oath-taking.

TV footage showed the PTI chief shaking hands and posing for a photo with Bilawal, who is entering NA for his maiden term.

The session commenced with the MNAs-elect standing up for the national anthem. This was followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran.

The speaker then read out the procedure for the election of the new speaker and deputy speaker.

The MNAs-elect then stood up as Sadiq administered the oath of office to them. The MNAs were then asked to proceed to the speaker's desk to sign the roll of members. Being first in the alphabetical order, PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari was the first to be called to sign the roll.

After completion of the swearing-in ceremony, the speaker will prorogue the NA session until August 15, when the new speaker and deputy speaker of the assembly will be elected. The nomination papers for the same will be submitted tomorrow.

Strict security measures have been taken to avoid any untoward incident during the proceedings and irrelevant persons have been barred from entering the house.

Session is also set to begin in the provincial assembly of Balochistan for the MPAs-elect to take oath, while members of the Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies have taken oath.

KP Assembly takes oath
A session is also underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, where 111 MPAs took oath in the 124-member house.

PML-N MPA-elect Sardar Aurangzeb Nalotha, who was nominated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra as the presiding officer, administered the oath to the new members of the provincial assembly.

Members of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, PPP and Awami National Party, who were wearing black bands on their arms, staged a symbolic walkout during the oath-taking over the terrorist violence that preceded the July 25 elections. They reentered the assembly after the walkout and were administered the oath separately.

Composition of new NA
After the issuance of notifications of the returned candidates on the reserved seats for women and minorities by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday, the PTI has 158 members in the National Assembly.

The PTI's tally has reached 158 members after the joining of nine independents and bagging 33 seats reserved for women and minorities.

Out of the 60 reserved women seats, the PTI has clinched 28, followed by the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) with 16 seats, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) nine seats, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) two seats and one seat each by Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Balochistan National Party (BNP), Grand Demo*cratic Alliance (GDA), Mut*tahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q).

Similarly, out of the 10 reserved seats for minorities, the PTI has won five, followed by two each by the PPP and PML-N and one by the MMA.

If the votes of the PTI and its allied parties are counted, the total comes to 184 in the house of 339. In addition to this, four independent MNAs-elect are also poised to support the PTI and, therefore, the total number of the members belonging to the PTI and its allies comes to 188. But the PTI will still not be facing a weak opposition as the strength of its arch-rival PML-N and its allies also comes to 151.

The PML-N with 82 seats is the largest party in the opposition group, followed by PPP (53 seats); MMA (15 seats) and ANP (one seat).

Looks like Major saab is playing ball. Hopefully he can help Malik Amin Aslam get elected now.

Rumours that Qasim Khan Suri has been nominated as deputy speaker of NA, if so, what a couple of months for him and Balochistan, clean bowled Achikzai and now this.

So Qasim Suri from Balochistan is nominated for deputy speaker, another loyalist who has been with PTI for a long time, great to see.

Tahir Sadiq has kept NA 55 seat that was suppose to be Malik Amin Aslam seat. Today I was reading dawn about Tahir wanting his son or son in law to contest election on NA56.

Sheikh Rashid wants his nephew to contest on NA60. If Imran Khan can't control nepotism here, than I'm afraid that he won't to able to stop family appointment by different MNA and minsters when he becomes the prime minster.

According to news

Sheikh Rashid will be given Railway Ministry. This is going to be become a very important ministry because of CPEC main investment is up gradation of the main line 1(Peshawar to Karachi) that will be implemented under this ministry, other lines of Railway will also be upgraded under CPEC.

He has to resolve issue of Karachi Circular Railway with Sindh government that Saad Rafique couldn't do it

Majority of reserved women seats allotted to PML-N were given to family members of the N-league hierarchy. Maryam Aurengzeb and her mother becoming MNAs. Even Pervez Khattak's niece and other family members becoming MNAs.
PML-N gave 21 out of 30 women reserved seats to ladies from Lahore. Similarly PTI gave 17 of the 33 reserved seats it got to women of Lahore. Are there no deserving ladies out side of Lahore?

Well this is what you deserve when you are not honest and loyal to your own people and when people gives you the responsibility to look after their future and you in return make the country worse than it was ever before. Nawaz saab in jail and now sab chamchon ki baari hai jail jane ki.

Rai Murtaza could have been good choice for Punjab CM. He fit perfectly in PTI agenda of young, clean politicians. 36 year old with zero scandals and clean history. I really wanted PTI to have all CMs to be under 40 to really drive home the youth factor. Now we may have some oldie as CM with archaic mentality and who hardly even knows how to operate a computer.

My money is on raja Yasir. I think after Ch Sarwar was named governor, they're definitely gonna go for a young clean cut dynamic figure. Together they'll be super formidable

Sarwar knows more than us and why would he publicy criticize if that was not the case. We lost around 32 seats out of 42 NA. Seats. It was a wipeout

You have to admit that N league also had a very strong base in this area.

He has same information to rely upon that we have or particularly I who is local. NA tickets were largely distributed on merit. And if not, you could point out couple of mistakes here.

If that's the case IK needs to set an example here, pretty early. The wave that we had in North Punjab and KPK anyone would have won on PTI ticket there.

"On Merit" here means leading candidates from surveys conducted by PTI Teams prior to tickets. Yes tickets were allocated "On Merit" according to surveys but at some places "The Team" tempered the surveys.

This spells very bad news for Sindh, already friction between PPP and PTI.

This Imran Ismail turning to be a loudmouth. Governor is just a ceremonial post.

I think it is PTI strategy to keep check on PPP Sindh government through a loud-mouth Governor

Lol you need PPP to support future legislations, directly attacking their leader is no good at all. Pathetic move

Recently he was talking about quota system in Karachi, doesn't he realize the sentiment of Sindhis. Do PTI want to make itself popular in interior Sindh. I have never liked him. Follow the politics of Mqm and you will be confined to Karachi,

Apparently BAP is upset with PTI of not getting importance as compared to Mengal got yesterday and also no ministry

So you want to keep a biased system that alienates the over 20M people in your largest city in order not offend the sentiments of interior sindh?

Issues created by PTI's Baluchistan President Sardar Rind he is asking too much share in the Baluchistan govt while JKT already announced unconditional support and BAP was giving us 2 ministries even without asking. Rind is a clown.

What a clown. Why is he going against the party policy? So what’s the latest on this one? Is this settled now?

You need speakers permission to arrest an MNA. It would be bad if Khursheed Shah gets elected tomorrow.

Quota system needs to be ended or something done against it got PTI to maintain support in Karachi

It's not as if PTI are winning interior anyway

Another sad news for PTI, MPA from PP222 Ghulam Abbas Khaki passed away after heart attack.

Another MPA from Rajanpur Tariq Dareshak also passed away few days ago.

Punjab Assembly looks so small and cramped, even though it's meant to have more seats than even the National Assembly.

Imran Khan forgets his card before casting his vote.. PPP polling agent objects to this.
