PTI just fell to 111 on Samaa, but so did the amount of constituencies reporting, so nothing to worry about for now.

Wajahat Saeed's cover also seems to be coming off... I just can't believe it. I hope my hunch is wrong..

According to ECP at 50% vote counted, PTI are leading on 114 NA seats.

In Punjab Assembly, the position (according to ECP) is:
PML-N - 128
PTI - 123
IND - 31

What's wrong with Habib akram , he's all of a sudden become neutral.. he was such an adherent supporter of pmln.. lot of people changing goal posts it seems ..

I have enjoyed Samaa graphics but the one with military war is so stupid and childish.

Samaa reporting Muslim League N leading on all 11 seats in Lahore BUT only by few hundred votes right now..

EDIT now on 4 pti ahead. it is back and forth

It's ridiculously close in Lahore. Those 4 seats are the difference between adding an extra party to PTI's coalition government or not.

Karachi was always more conductive to PTI, but MQM under Altaf did not allow for an environment where PTI could win. Without Altaf, Karachiites have campaigned with absolute freedom, no fear, and they have chosen the party and ideology that resonates with them the most.

Also PTI had more effort campaigning this time.

Can you imagine that in 2013 Imran Khan didn't even have ONE jalsa in Karachi

Guys quick question, so will PTI nominate the Presidential candidate as well? How does that process work?

I think PTI nominate a candidate, and the opposition can nominate one too. Whichever one gets the most votes in the National Assembly will win and become President.

Doesn't matter. What's the fun of choosing a golden zero..

President is elected by the Senate next Senate election are in 2021 so PTI won't have neough seats to elect a president until after 2021 Senate elections.

PTI will form Punjab government with no issues if it's like this ...

2/3 majority for PTI in KPK.

Lahore still looks like N league's... although not as much. Don't care too much if we take majority.

It's not just senate I think? All the assemblies have a joint sitting.

The President of Pakistan is indirectly elected by the Electoral College of Pakistan - a joint sitting of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies. Each elector casts a different number of votes. The general principle is that the total number of votes cast by members of Parliament equals the total number of votes cast by provincial legislators. Also, legislators from larger states cast more votes than those from smaller provinces. The actual calculation for votes cast by a particular state is calculated by dividing the state's population by the number of seats, which is again divided by the number of legislators from the state voting in the Electoral College. The constitution further states that election to the office of President must be held no earlier than sixty days and no later than thirty days before the expiration of the term of the incumbent president
