We were questioning if we can trust MQM, but man, these PML-Q guys are turning out to be 100x worse.
True these Gujratis are so desperate thank GOD they didn't win a few more seats

MQM only got one-third of what they got in 2013 ... completely wiped out.
IK do us a favor please and stop sending this Naem ul Haq for media talksMake him Sindh governor and please sideline him from media.
Fawad Chaudhry should be information minister and do things like these. He is sharp and knows the media very well.
IK should recognize what these people can do best and put it to use.
Do you think Altaf's boycott call worked?

I heard information ministry portfolio is going to be abloshied .. it's one of the most useless portfolios one could think of..
That is just one of many factors. I don't think the majority of MQM supporters still support Altaf.
I think, the reason MQM lost was:
1.) They had no chance to rig or threaten people anymore. Last time, almost every single person I knew who wanted to PTI ended up coming out of the polling station after stamping a kite because an MQM worker threathen to shoot them. Then, on one seat, a family I know managed to stamp on the bat, a family of four. When the results came out, PTI had a grand total of 2 votes or something.
2.) MQM splits damaged their votebank.
3.) They did not campaign much this time as many of their workers are in jail due to the crackdown on militancy.
4.) Increased turnout from the silent population who never vote because they think it's useless with the presence of MQM.
5.) Altaf's boycott call may have lost them a few voters, but not much. Most MQM supporters stopped supporting Altaf Hussain after his anti-Pakistan and pro-India comments.
6.) PTI wave flipped some MQM supporters who have a soft spot for PTI.
7.) Due to MQM militancy gone, all parties campaigned in Karachi with absolute freedom.
How many double seat like Tahir and Sarwar from other parties has been won?
Assuming it’s zero
Need to deduct 6 from PTI so it’s 264 and PTI needs to 133 with 109 votes from PTI for Imran to become PM.
am I calculating it right?
Wanted to see IK taking oath on 14th August as PM but i think legally that's no possible because he will have to be there as PM on the morning of 14th August to be part of Independence Day Ceremony

PPP showing it is the more mature party as opposed to PML-N, MMA, etc. Questioning the electoral process is understandable, and I think even many PTI candidates were raising some questions. The other parties are just mad at losing more than anything else.
Yup, you've got it right, not sure how many double seats were won by other parties though? I can't think of any since Shahbaz and Bilawal lost all their other seats.
Nice analysis and completley agree with you i think TLP and JI confused voter on some seats also played a role.
He will most likely take oath on 11 August which is also a very significant day in the history of paksitan related to Qaid e Azam's speeches.
Zardari always has been a better player. He knows the consequences of boycotting the process. They would rather let PTI complete their time then letting the army back in.
So who will address the media? Even Gen Bajwa has Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor to do the communication.
I think outside PTI only Mengal and Elahi won 2 seats? Shahbaz, Hamza and a few other won a combination of NA and PP seats i can't see Hamza and Shahbaz both in NA together so they will have to give up 1 NA seat.
Bilawal chance will only come in 2023 if PTI fails and Zardari knows it's useless to cry now and waste energy there is nothing to gain for PPP in 2018 they actually won some bonus seats from Punjab so should be happy.
I think another MPA Hanif Pitafi from DG Khan who own Independent is also joining PTI, remember he was in PTI but didn't get PTI ticket so ran as Independent and joining again.
Ajmal Cheema from Faisalabad was another one who was PTI office bearer but denied PTI ticket, he won as an Independent and joining PTI now.
I wonder why these people didn't get a ticket in the first place?
True let's see when the first NA session is called. Ayaz Sadiq is still speaker and he can delay the process
Mengal and Elahi deducts from the "government forming" tally.
If those were the only ones, 132 needed for a majority.
PTI - 111
MQM-P - 6
PML-Q - 3
BAP - 4
BNP - 2
GDA - 2
IND - 12
Total - 140
Accroding to Shahbaz Sharif, they won't delay the process and will be there for oath taking.

Just in (Report) : Hammad Azhar has won in recounting by 90 Votes...
Just checked Mengal he only won 1 and appealed on second one where he thought he won but the result was changed. Do you think Hamza and Shahbaz both will come to NA? or Hamza will keep PP seat. From what i heard they want Hamza to be CM but if numbers are not good they will have Khawaja Saad as opposition leader in Punjab.
I see i just saw a statement of Ayaz Sadiq saying i can delay it. I think Ayaz is from NS camp

Things already improving. Result was expected, so rupee improving. Investor confidence also improving. Normally it is the other way around if a pro-business party is leaving. Goes to show that PML-N were all talk, no action. And falsely claimed to be pro-business and all ....
Both statements came at the same time actually
It was at the all party conference. Ayaz Sadiq said that he will delay the oath taking, but Shahbaz cut him and said that they won't delay it as they don't want to damage the electoral and parliamentary process.

Great news! i remember he had some plan for garbage collection/recycling too
Yes, and I think PTI want to implement it all over Karachi, as well as a way to turn garbage into electricity.
7 Ind MPAs from South Punjab to meet IK and join PTI today. Syed Fakhar Imam who won his NA seat as Ind against PTI's Hiraj is also expected to meet Khan and join. He is ex NA speaker and opposition leader.
Garbage and Water these are 2 biggest issues of Karachi i hope PTI have a solid plan for both
IK do us a favor please and stop sending this Naem ul Haq for media talksMake him Sindh governor and please sideline him from media.
Syed Fakhar Imam is a well qualified, educated and an experienced politician but his rival Raza Hayat Hiraj is also a valuable politician. Raza Hayat lost but i think his brother won from other NA seat so it might annoy other PTI MNA and Hiraj family.
True, the most annoying individual around IK.![]()
He still can't get the point that Fawad is PTI spokesman.
The plans are there. Desalination plants, rubbish collection system, and electricity generation using rubbish. I just hope they can find a way to implement it all without being in Sindh Government.
If we can win LB elections next year we will have a very strong control over Karachi
PTI NEED to campaign hard for LB elections. The biggest issue will be getting PTI supporters to turn up and vote. From what I see, PTI relies on a wave like 2013 and this election, and PTI supporters tend to go missing in between, as observed in 2015 LB elections.

He also wanted KPK government in previous tenure but N and PPP did not buy his words.

I'm hearing that Mumtaz Bhutto has been summoned to Banigala. Next governor Sindh?
Reports of Rind being Governor Baluchistan as well. I think Governor Sindh should be from Karachi when Sindhis already have their CM and Govt.
That's what I was thinking, Governor should be a Karachiite, especially because they are the ones who voted for PTI.

I would have Mustafa Kamal as Karachi Mayor.
Agree with it he is one of the most successful civil engineer of Pakistan and should be tried by giving Ministry of Housing.

Here wo go reports of differences between SMQ and JKT. SMQ isn't happy for why the Ind candidate who won against him in Multan is welcomed by JKT into PTI.
SMQ is missing from Media since 2 days he came to Bani Gala and left yesterday
Is he even near Bani Gala? Doesn't seem like he is in the plans of IK.
In a statement released late on Friday, Qassemi hailed the high turnout in the parliamentary elections in Pakistan and expressed the hope that the bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries would further expand.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, as ever, is ready to make efforts to boost all-out cooperation between the two Muslim and friendly countries, especially in the new era, in line with the interests of the two great nations of Iran and Pakistan,” Qassemi said.
The general elections were held in Pakistan on July 25, to elect the members of the 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies.
The former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan and his party Tehreek-e-Insaf won the country’s parliamentary elections, promising a new Pakistan following a vote that was marred by allegations of fraud and militant violence.
Khan, who aspires to be the country’s next prime minister, said in a televised address to the nation that “thanks to God, we won and we were successful”.
