Nasir-ul-Mulk is just a temporary PM. He doesn't have any right to make such ludicrous demands, he should step away as soon as possible as elections have already been conducted.

Bad news guys.

Looks like SMQ's obsession with becoming Punjab CM might pay off.

There are reports that PTI are asking a PTI Mutan MNA winner to vacate his seat and stand for bye election instead so that SMQ can be announced as Punjab CM.

SMQ has no credentials to look after the whole of Punjab.

There's alot of negativity which seems to follow/surround this guy, he's described as a bit of a moaner who holds a grudge, but I've always found him quite statesman like and he's got the look of a leader, however him bringing his son in and some of the second rate PPP trash leaves me a little apprehensive as for whether he has the substance to match the style. But he was probably the biggest wicket IK ever claimed, he left PPP cos he didn't agree with the Raymond Davis fiasco, and for that reason alone I've always had a soft spot for him.

There we go, now looks like we've taken sides in Balochistan. This needed to be handled with kid gloves. Once again a lack of a decent strategist has seriously cost PTI.

SMQ is now appearing in all group photos and looking very happy is it mean he is going to be CM Punjab after a few months and we will have a temporary CM for now?

I dont mind him becoming CM, as long as he doesnt do anything corrupt. He should face the law if he does.
Better than aleem khan.

Yes Bro this looks to be the case.

I'm very angry about this.

He will be a terrible CM. He will concentrate on getting as many of his family members into politics etc and concentrate on Multan.

A terrible terrible decision by Imran if this is true.

Latest situation:

We are still 5 to 7 seats shorts in federal and that's why the negotiations are taking so long.

Better than aleem khan.

I personally don't like his insecure attitude but SMQ can be blamed for anything except financial corruption or looting tax payers money.

Punjab needs a vibrant JKT type person who can travel city to city in Punjab on a daily basis (heck one thing Shabaz Sharif had was energy) to sort Punjab out. Not someone like SMQ who sticks to Multan and his associates.

SMQ is not suitable for any position apart from foreign minister.

That type of energy i only see in Tahir Sadik but he can't be trusted

I agree it was stupid and shortsighted but was expected as I think JKT is in a rush against time and I'm not how many of PTIs leadership understand the complex nature of Balochistan's problems.IK didn't even bother to campaign in Balochistan.

I don't think this is a bad decision from Mengal. He isn't quite as lota-ish as some of the other leaders in Balochistan and is taking a stand on principle.

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind claimed on Thursday that the party has decided to form a coalition government with the help of Balochistan Awami Party in the province.

The PTI Balochistan chapter chief’s statements came after temporary fallout over the name of the chief minister Balochistan.

“BAP will support us in the National Assembly, we will support it in the provincial,” said the PTI leader.

“It is BAP’s right to select a chief minister,” said Rind. “The BAP also has a right to decide whether it should include us in the cabinet or not,” he added.

BAP leader Jam Kamal said that in a democracy there are disagreements and they can be resolved.

On Wednesday, PTI Balochistan leaders had expressed their displeasure over party stalwart Jahangir Tareen naming BAP’s Jam Kamal as the next chief minister of Balochistan.

Sources said that the PTI’s Balochistan wing was unhappy with the steps taken by Tareen, adding that party chief Imran Khan had resolved the issue during a meeting between PTI and BAP leaders.

In the meeting, Imran had delegated the right to PTI Balochistan president Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind and Jam Kamal to make decisions regarding the province.

However, Tareen had appointed Jam Kamal as the chief minister on his own accord, the sources claimed.

The party sources said that the provincial party should have the right to make decisions pertaining to chief minister Balochistan and provincial ministers.

Anti-PTI alliance to field PML-N candidate for PM

ISLAMABAD: Like-minded parties who have formed an anti-PTI alliance have announced that their candidate for the post of prime minister will be from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The like-minded parties which consist of PML-N, PPP, MMA and ANP have combined secured 120 seats in the National Assembly following the July 25 election.

The decision was announced by PPP leader Sherry Rehman who addressed reporters following the joint opposition all parties conference (APC) held here on Thursday.

“The National Assembly speaker candidate will be from the PPP and the deputy speaker candidate from MMA,” Rehman said, adding that the names would be announced later.

Rehman further said that the opposition parties will sit in the Parliament ‘to counter the puppet government’.

Sources have informed Geo News that the name of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif is being considered as the candidate for prime minister and PPP’s Khursheed Shah for National Assembly speaker.

Members of the like-minded parties held on Thursday a session of the joint action committee to constitute a unanimous political strategy in wake of the July 25 General Election.

1. Has a huge caveat, there's no way to satisfy that as we can't quantify how many people are missing and many may be dead so "releasing all" would be impossible and he knows that's, and that's why it's his first point.

3. Is unreasonable, if they want a 70% of the royalties then they should be putting in 70% of the money and manpower. Whoever invests the most money and puts in the most work should be getting the biggest cut.

5. I don't believe in this "quota **", people should be hired on merit and not just handed out jobs they aren't qualified for, then it's just charity and you'r compromising over the quality of work.

6. Only thing I agree with, however if there are law abiding Afghans that are loyal to Pakistan and want to put down roots there then should be allowed to become citizens after a naturalization test and an oath.

What intrigues me is how India and west call Khan supporter of MMA while Nawaz is forming an alliance with them and every other tried tested failure.

Even if they are dead, their bodies should be released with dignity so that families can get some peace of mind. Missing persons is a big issue for Balochistan and is one of the main reasons there is such little trust for the Establishment.

2. They are residents of Balochistan and have been badly exploited so I think it is fair that they have the chance to use their own resources.

3. Agree to a certain extent but lack of Baloch representation is a serious situation in many sectors and we need to make some effort to give them support.

4. Law abiding Afghans refugees have lived in Pakistan for decades now and have set down roots. They are as Pakistani as anyone else and deserve full rights as Pakistani citizens. No need for naturalisation tests or oaths. How many refugees in 1947 needed to take naturalisation tests or oaths?

Union of the corrupt. Imran Khan has well and truly exposed PPP and PMLN, yei duno milki awam ko bawaquf banatha thi...now jab they know that if they don't join hands it's going to be trouble for all.

Lotaocracy at it's best. 5 years be at each other's throats but join hands instantaneously when threatened.

Hopefully, Imran Khan and the NAB will see through this farce.

APC = All parties corrupt.

Don't worry NAB cases against Shabaz, Zardari and Fazlu soon.

Once these three heads are dealt with the opposition will be deflated.

They need to take naturalization tests and an oath to become citizens like in any civilized country.

Migrants (not refugees) who came in 1947 and little after from east of the border came to build Pakistan, they came to become Pakistanis and burnt their boats. Refugees from Afghanistan did not move to Pakistan to become Pakistanis, they fled war and have held on to their Afghan identity.

There are Afghans who migrated to Pakistan after '47 and became citizens because of a law passed in the 50s that granted all Pashtuns citizenship however Afghans who moved in the past 40 years should only become citizens after a test and an oath of allegiance to Pakistan. It's what we do in the civilized world, America, Canada, England etc

He has a point in all issues. Mengal that is.

1. Missing persons issues needs to be resolved fully.

2. Resources of Balochistan must provide tangible benefits to the locals. That also means the jirga/waders/nawab system has to be disbanded. You can't have these resources being handed to nawabs to do as they please. That is one of the biggest Syed in Balochistan.

3. Rather than appointing unmerited individuals, it serves no purpose other than lowering standards. Improve or provide more educational institutions that increases the number of greater calibre people from Balochistan.

4. All afghans must now go back. Recently, an illegal Afghan won a seat For the Hazara party in Balochistan!! How on earth can that be allowed!!

Wow good on her, as her family has been very anti-IK in the past.

There are 2 groups within siblings. She and one of her sis and bro are in one group while the rest of them are in other group she is pro IK and anti PPP and anti PMLN but the other group of siblings are totally anti IK and jiyalas (Shehryar, Shahbaz etc). They are in courts against each other on Salman Taseer's assets case since the death of Taseer. I still remember the way she took Salman Akram Raja and Shehryar Taseer to cleaners on Twitter :)) Salman Akram Raja is the lawyer of Shehryar in that case

You're 100% bro, I was reading twitter since the last post and her siblings are not pro IK at all :))

I can't believe PPP. How on earth are Bilawal and Aitzaz Ahsan okay with allying themselves with a party who were Zia's biggest supporters, the same Zia who executed Bhutto?

Unbelievable what money and corruption does to you. If PTI ever stooped to such lows I'd stop supporting them.

If there was no PTI then in 20 years there would have been no Pakistan. Sindh would have been separated and ruled forever by PPP and Punjab by PMLN. I mean they were heading that way anyway with PPP happy to loot Sindh and PMLN the rest of Pakistan. Everyone assumed there was a tactic understanding between them, that 'theory' has been confirmed in the last few weeks.

People like Sherry Rehman have been a big let down. Why is Aitzaz Ahsan wasting his life in that party.

They are the two sides of the same coin. they always had an understanding between them, its just that its in open now.. They have only exposed themselves to public ....

Khamosh Muka Muka as Dr. Shahid Masood would call it.

Don't worry.

PTI are making independents sign affidavits. So no chance of that happening.

But, would that contract be binding ... I think the constitution does not hold any such contracts or affidavits valid... my hunch

You're 100% bro, I was reading twitter since the last post and her siblings are not pro IK at all :))

Yeh I saw the faked signatures :)) You being to feel sorry for the Taseers but go through their twitter and the smugness that comes out of them, its hard to feel sorry for them. They are bashing Imran Khan for some poster about Qadri, yet nothing about Maryam's husband visiting the grave of Qadri.

I don't feel sorry for them most of them look like opportunist jiyasalas Shehryar being the biggest clown and he use his newspaper and sahafis to target IK regularly. He was the one who started this Muavia joining PTI propaganda yesterday.

There are rumors about Justice (R) Nasira Iqbal but no confirmation so far. Her son Waleed Iqbal is in PTI from many years. There is also a chance of finally having a Baloch President.

I think Pakistan's already had like 2 Baloch presidents (by ancestry).

Zafrullah Khan Jamali may be made President.

Isn't he very old and suffering from poor health. I remember he gave a farewell speech in the last parliament and said something along those lines that he may not be seen in this house again due to failing health

She is a really good choice no doubt but imo giving Baluchistan as much as we can for now is only going to benefit Pakistan

Most of them don't care about him apart from his tribe and he was previously the Prime Minister, you can't make a New Pakistan with old politicians and that too of a Sardar. Also the Presidents office doesn't have many roles and I'm pretty sure the Baloch couldn't care less.

Remember the President has no constitutional powers now. It's just a symbolic position.
