Well I cannot challenge the organizers' decision but this is not how it should work.

Think of it this way - You are sitting in an examination and you have a time limit of 3 hours to complete it, but you submit your paper in 1 hour and come out of the hall. Now after coming out you realize you made some mistakes. Would you be allowed to go back to the hall, make corrections to your paper and submit it again?

That doesn't happen.

The deadline becomes irrelevant once you have submitted your team.

Yea I think it offers more flexibility as you said above IPakistani doesn’t add much value otherwise and arguably neither Ajmal.

Only thing is with this in OD and T20 at home we will need to play 4 pace (one of which AR) and 1 spin or 5 pace (but 2 A/Rs) but I think that’s fine, as we saw during trial games in limited overs even low skilled ARs do well
