Jeetu has already allowed it bro. That’s why we are considering a change otherwise we wouldn’t have.

But makes sense to allow as long as everyone can do it since the trial games gave a better idea to teams how to go about things.

[MENTION=100918]Square Drive[/MENTION] let’s have a OD game at the cage against cornered tigers. With 3 spinners and 2 pacers on a normal pitch (2 of them being A/Rs) - what do ya think?

How does this line-up sound

Before that though [MENTION=55088]Watsupdoc[/MENTION] - IMO we should try a Test match on flat (albeit without boosts, just to see if we get a result) as well as an ODI on a flat pitch just to see if it actually does play to our strengths (again, albeit without boosts).

As for player changes, I am open to having 1 of each type of A/R. By this, I mean 4 all-rounders (2 bowling A/R - one pace, one spin; and 2 pure A/R, one pace, one spin) to give us more versatility based on how we've seen the practice games play out - and also because as it stands [MENTION=148120]iPakistani[/MENTION] doesn't add any value with us already having 3 active pacers.

This would mean changing iPakistani to pure A/R (LFM, LHB) and replacing Ajmal with either Ashwin (or we could do Inti just for the jokes and for the use of the :inti smiley - although Ashwin's offspinners provide some variety there as well, as Smudger is LLS and Afridi is Leggie as well).

Well I cannot challenge the organizers' decision but this is not how it should work.

Think of it this way - You are sitting in an examination and you have a time limit of 3 hours to complete it, but you submit your paper in 1 hour and come out of the hall. Now after coming out you realize you made some mistakes. Would you be allowed to go back to the hall, make corrections to your paper and submit it again?

That doesn't happen.

The deadline becomes irrelevant once you have submitted your team.

Just my 2 cents.

Yea I think it offers more flexibility as you said above IPakistani doesn’t add much value otherwise and arguably neither Ajmal.

Only thing is with this in OD and T20 at home we will need to play 4 pace (one of which AR) and 1 spin or 5 pace (but 2 A/Rs) but I think that’s fine, as we saw during trial games in limited overs even low skilled ARs do well :))
 
For the spin bowling A/R instead of Ajmal yea let’s go with Ashwin for varieties sake.

Yessir sounds good - will do that just now.

Once it gets approved we'll go forth with the warmup games.

I say we go for:

- 1 away game to the Assassins or the Tigers if we wanna try a spinner's wicket - preferably FC or OD

1 FC at the Adda on a flat wicket - any team that agrees to play with us

- 1 OD at the Adda on a flat wicket - any team that agrees to play with us

We've already played a bit of trial games on normal/spicy; really keen on seeing how flat does/doesn't play to our advantage here.

Thoughts?

OK all done - one small change was that I left iPakistani's batting hand as RHB instead of LHB, as Hadlee is a LHB. :hadlee

Assassins have just named a spicy wicket for a home FC at their arena, so that's one warmup game.

The flat pitch FC at the Adda IMO is a no-brainer.

As for the flat pitch OD at the Adda, we can now go for either that or play an OD at the Tigers arena.

Let me know what you think.

Let’s do the FC game at Adda on flat, OD game at Adda on flat, and OD game on spicy vs. Loose Canons? (since their ground supports both spin and pace - so we can try playing 3 pace 2 spin attack there).
 
Also let’s play normal batting line-ups (I.e. not opening the batting with A/R or tail-ended) and we can also try opening with one diamond or 2 diamond players in one of the games as a trial?
 
Let’s play this team against the Assassins? Try how the two fast bowling A/Rs fair there.
