Personally i only prefer Dry , Normal or Spicy pitch. Rest tend to sometime take strategy out of equation. If all captains agree then we can rule out pancake and unplayable. They are too extreme for my liking anyway.

I think the point is that if you do chase, there is a large difference in NRR with minimal skill difference. An example situation where this might be used as a ploy is towards the end of a tournament where the home team employs nightmare conditions as a last ditch effort to boost NRR and reduce that of the other team
Personally i only prefer Dry , Normal or Spicy pitch. Rest tend to sometime take strategy out of equation. If all captains agree then we can rule out pancake and unplayable. They are too extreme for my liking anyway.
