3-2 Pakistan.
On a side note, can we ask Aussies to play one match in Pakistan?
Oh that’s a shameWe did. They rejected it.

Its Dubai and Pakistani spinners will be successful and Australian firepower will be practically useless.
Grinding batsmen like Malik are very likely to be successful.
I predict 4-1 to Pakistan based on the location, condition and nature of the pitch. Were it in England, it would have been 3-2 to Australia.

Yet you conveniently forget how we dominated New Zealand in the last two ODIs in the series AFTER the Asia Cup?Just be aware they blanked us 3-0 last time we met in the UAE and the series prior to that we lost also. We were hopeless in the recent Asia Cup hosted in the same location. Aus will be tough, beating India in their backyard is no mean feat. However, I'll be delighted to take 4-1 Pakistan.
4-1 to Australia. After they outplayed India we don't have any chance to stand. Yasir, Shinwari, Abbas will be murdered by Australian Batsmen

Or is Australia better than New Zealand now?

Lol did you see how Australia played Kuldeep and Chahal in India ? They chased down 358 after being 15-2.
Also Yasir Shah and Imam aren’t big turners of the ball.
I'm not forgetting that series as I was merely stating our record against Aus the previous times we have played them in the UAE. As far as the NZ series is concerned, yes we thrashed them in the 2nd ODI but last ODI, you can't really say as the NZ reply was only 7 over old chasing 280 before match was abandoned. So I would hardly call it a domination.
Yeah but uae aren't dead. Maxwell scored like 11 runs in the t20is in the uae but scored a lot more in india. Now don't say every series is different coz australia as a whole performed a lot worse in the uae.
If u would have been some knowledge about pitches in the uae, you'd know that 280 is a VERY difficult target. It was highely unlikely they'd have chased it down. So up to the point when the rain started we were dominating.

It's difficult but not unreachable especially for a side like NZ. The fact is series ended in 1-1 draw although it is good to take moral victories also where we have dominated some games or part of the game.
280 is a difficult target in the UAE, but when your frontline spinners are Shadab and Imad, the opposition are always in with a chance. Batting second in the UAE in ODIs is often favourable - the ball comes onto the bat better. India mauled Pakistan in the Asia Cup and Hong Kong nearly chased 280 against India.
At 30/1 in 6 overs, New Zealand were not out of the game. Yes we were favourites at that point, but calling it a domination is a complete stretch.
A relatively good series against New Zealand does not change the fact that post Champions Trophy, we have been thoroughly exposed against the big teams in ODIs, and have proved to be minnow bashers. Nevertheless, this Australian series is a good opportunity to amend our shambolic record in the UAE, but we will have our work cut out for sure.
) We were actually being too generous here saying 280 is difficult and Mamoon was spot on with his analysis. We need to STOP with this minnow mentality of 280 is a great score, it's too difficult to chase blah blah. The days of 280 being a great score anywhere in the world are long gone.
Come on. That's too harsh. It was a pretty decent total. It's like giving 400 to zimbabwe. They won't defend it. But that doesn't mean it's a good total.
I said 4-1 to Pakistan.
I am still not changing my prediction.
3-2?
Odds stand at 10/11 for both so i'd say 3-2 to either side.
With Cummins out of the way, there is a glimmer of hope...
What happened to Cummins?
I could still be correct
