No, it was more a case of good bowling than poor batting.

Sami's spell had pace, bounce, swing, stamina! Has to be one of the finest spells in the recent history of PAK cricket.

:Sami was brilliant

I watched it live all of it. and i totally agree.

Well Done Sami, Hopefully he performs good in Australia and the his haters will be taking cover.

unexpectedly good performance by sami, but shame, poor yunus, out for 7 and 4.......with this form i doubt his return to the national team any tym soon.....Well Done karachi Blues

well YK needs to settle his mind. I think he is very very fickle person, which is effecting his performance

Your 10th post with the above lines has prompted me to reply.

There is no such hatred toward sami... surely not the same feelings as the majority has for malik.... even bhanja is more of a joke than anything else.

What matters is merit and performance.

On that basis... talha, wahab and now tanvir "DESERVE" a call before him.

Supporting sami is something different but supporting sami's inclusion is equal to supporting corruption and nepotism. Having said that he bowled at 140kph+ today and did well against a domestic team. Since he is selected... we wish him the best of luck and hope for a similar performance against the aussies

Don't forget that if YK does make it to Aus., he won't be facing Sami so he should do better there!

I will support this too. I was very skeptical about Sami's selection but after watching his spell in the final, he still has a lot of fire left in him and we should not let it go to waste. His outswingers were unplayable. His inswinger to the right handers need more work, he sometimes directs them on leg. He will be deadly to lefthanders. Taufeeq was probably the best player in the final and he was just beaten for pace with a delivery swinging in like Asif's inswinger. We need raw pace in the test team and if Waqar can work him to get more consistency in his bowling, he will be a big asset for us. Well done Sami.

BTW, I was also impressed by Tanvir but he is not the same class as Ameer, Asif, Gul, Sami,...He may be another Rao.

what I observed was
1. asim kamal playing for his survival rather than team interest although he still has potential and temprament.
2. yunus and Hasan Raza dis appointed by their mind boggling stupid, rash batting wasting their talent.
3. Shaheryar ghani should have played in place of ali asad and shahid nazir in place of aslam qureshi. Sheryar seem to be a good prospect the way he fielded with positive attitude.
4. Sami and taufeeq's performance were pleasant surprise. Sami should play instead of gul.
5. we need batsmen with temperament to stay at wicket.

Agree
and for the same reason I cannot wish him luck.

I think, every 1st class match should be played on these type of pitches so that our batsmen learn how to bat on these pitches and kids pick up bowling when they see bowlers getting wickets.

I totally agree with you.
