Rajnath Singh Tells States to Ensure Safety of Kashmiris

New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday asked all states to ensure safety of Kashmiris living in different parts of the country.

Condemning the alleged incidents of harassment of Kashmiris, the Home Minister said they are like any other Indian and an advisory is being sent by the Home Ministry to all states to ensure the safety and security of people from the Valley.
Singh's statement came in the wake of reports alleging that Kashmiri students in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh were being threatened after the latest incidents of stone pelting and assualt on security personnel by Kashmiri youths in the Valley.

It happens with other state people as well not specific to Jammu & Kashmir alone, nothing new we are big country.

Happens in most parts of India, for example : Whenever a water war breaks out between TN and one of the neighbors we find the Government trying to ensure safety for outer state-siders in each of the southern states.

When you have a country where every state has its own unique language, cultural identity and politics (except the cow belt maybe) these things are bound to happen.

India cannot become a uniform entity - One language, One culture , one religion no matter how much the present parties try to make it .

Its always better to acknowledge the differences and make necessary concessions and move on.
