[REPORTS] Salman Butt and Fawad Alam amongst players being considered for Australia tour

Can't wait to see the return of Butt, Alam, Rao Iftikhar, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Gul, Abdur Rehman, Zulfi Kobra and of course Misbah himself. All hail the saviour.

And LOL at Misbah lovers trying to justify this by saying Butt has a century in Australia. Going by same logic even Inzi has a century in Australia, I hear he isn't doing anything these days should also pick him for the test side.

Pathetic Misbah will totally ruin our cricket, the sooner this shameless person is booted out the better.

Surely this is fake news? At least the Butt part. The guy is 35 on paper (probably older in real life) and hasn’t played an international for 9.5 years. Even when younger his test average was dire. Add to that all the fixing history and it’s madness to get him back into the side. Only a fool would consider selecting him again at this stage of his career.

Time for Salman Butt is up now! We have few very talented openers in Imam ul Haq, Shaan Masood and Abid Ali. As far as Fawad Alam is concerned he really deserves to get a chance. He can be a good no.6 in Test cricket. If he remains fit, can play for a couple of years.

Test squad for Australia tour:

Shan Masood
Imam ul Haq
Abid Ali
Azhar Ali
Babar Azam
Haris Sohail
Asad Shafiq
Fawad Alam
Mohammad Rizwan
Yasir Shah
Zafar Gohar
Ammad Butt
Shaheen Shah Afridi
Mohammad Abbas
Usman Khan Shinwari
Naseem Shah

Surely the team for Australia should be:

Starting Eleven

1. Imam-ul-Haq
2. Shan Masood (c)
3. Mohammad Rizwan (wk)
4. Haris Sohail
5. Babar Azam
6. Umar Akmal
7. Shadab Khan (or Usman Qadir for his batting experience in Australia)
8. Faheem Ashraf (took 6-99 in last Test)
9. Mohammad Amir (grovel)
10. Shaheen Shah Afridi
11. Ehsan Adil

Reserves:
Asad Shafiq
Aamer Yamin
Mohammad Abbas
Rahat Ali
Naseem Shah

Imam 1st choice based on what? he was poor in both kiwi and South African series and also his poor technic against short ball was exposed and would be again in australia.

He was ok for what was a tough first overseas tour. Showed enough to be given a longer chance
