I am basing my opinion on wicketkeeping. At the moment I will prefer Saha. I know he is an average batsman but he is currently 'andho mein kaana raja' as far as keeping is concerned.![]()
I'm ok with Vihari out, Pant retained, Saha as a pure keeper just for the final test.
Though my team next game would be:
Pant retained as keeper (if he's fine to play).
Vihari out. Mayank/Shaw in his place. If Rahul/Rohit can be moved from their original roles, why not Mayank. And if the Indian thinktank sees Mayank purely as an opener, why not give Shaw a run in the middle order. I mean, currently, there is almost zero chance he'll make it into the team as an opener ahead of Rohit, Gill, Mayank, Rahul.
Saini out. Anyone else available in his place.
The only good thing I see out of Saha having played this long is - it's shown everyone how great Dhoni the keeper was. When MS was around I've heard plenty of people including Shastri claim Saha was the best keeper in the country
