No one wants Sarfraz out of the team, but he has some major work to do on his keeping skills, you have to accept that. Work can only be done if one accepts a problem.. if he has to stay in the team for a long time, I sure hope he keeps on improving his keeping and batting both.

Please give that message to Sarfraz if possible :) We do like him.

Lmao do you know what the irony here is Kamran Akmal has higher avg with the bat than your beloved Faisal Iqbal and he has played twice the games than Faisal has. Raise ur game mate.
 
Still don't think Safraz should play in the WC

Yes he is in good form right now but these are different conditions, as a WK he isn't any better than Umar Akmal, Akmal as WK/Batsman at 5 is fine.

And in place of Safraz you can have a genuine batsman or an all rounder.

Safraz/YK/Shafiq/Hafeez = early flight home

Hawk eye bhai, the thing is when u start doing wrong things with players who should have been in the side long ago are now starting to show their worth ! He needs improvement in his keeping that is for sure i never said that he is perfect but currently best in pakistan atm ! The irony is that people have consistently criticised him first for his batting and now to his keeping. The hypocrites in this forum as way too much and supporting adnan kami for the spot ! I ll surely try to convey your message if i can get to him first :p

Not to ruin this bump but it was hardly a catch. He should've attempted a stop at least but it wasn't a catch IMO.

I have been supporting sarfraz longer than most, unlike some however I will critise any player I support if they screw up. In this case sarfraz should have gone for it, I have seen him take catches like that

The truth is that he is a cyborg created by combining the wicket-keeping skills of Jeff Dujon and Alan Knott and is completely incapable of making an error and every missed chance and dropped catch is clearly not his fault and all we need to do to appreciate his mythical skills with the gloves is to simply close our eyes.

He didn't dive for a supposed chance when Latham edged the ball from Rahat in-between first slip and Sarfraz. He could've stopped it but in no way was it a glaring opportunity.
 
To the left of first slip is always the keeper's catch. Saffu should have gone for it.

This was just a regulation catch, so near to Sarfraz and he just kept looking at the ball without even any attempt to catch!!!

Ball was at perfect height for a catch and he just didn't go for it! Repeat of yesterday, but ball was so much closer and at good height.

He's turning out to be a Kamran version 2 !!
 
Seriously that should have been taken. WTH. this is kamran akmal all over again. WTH is wrong with us. I am losing my patience here with him.
 
I really felt for Adil there. He beat the bat again and again and when he finally produces the edge.... :facepalm:

simple left handed and it was taken. simple moving to the left and catching it would have done it as well. This is just horror stuff.

Pathetic keeping. I was reluctant in calling his keeping poor because some keepers make mistakes, but it has become a common occurrence and he keeps making the same mistakes.

He needs to improve drastically. Umar Akmal was doing a better job at keeping than him.
 
Our fielding has been pathetic this innings. 2 drops by Azhar, 2 by Sarafraz and a sitter by Rahat. If we lose we only have ourselves to blame.

Before this thread was made I thought Sarf was a mediocre cricketer but he's been really poor in these 2 series.

And such pitches you cant mess this up. if its regulation catches then that can be done by any keeper. He needs to improve his keeping big time.

Adnan is the only natural wicket-keeper in Pakistan, it's a shame that he is a tailender with the bat.

Rest are all batsmen pretending to be wicket-keepers, who took up the job to enhance their chances of selection.

Rizwan is a good batsman but he's the worst of the lot as well so we have no option but to stick with Sarfraz for the foreseeable future.

However I still believe that Umar keeping in ODIs is great for the dynamics and balance of the team and he was growing into that role.

If sarfraz keeps doing like this behind the wicket then pakistan probably should tell him to guard the boundary and throw the gloves to shafiq.

He needs to improve his glove work, the last thing we would want is the return of the Akmal bratheran..

Buddy he didn't dropped it was the indecision between younus and sarfraz ! The problem is to be sorted out between the slip cordon and the keeper ! It happens in cricket its a part of game lad !

A slip fielder would only catch coming straight to him. Only a keeper has to dive to his right or left haven't you seen Haddin and Warner taking outstanding diving catches?
Looks like you need a few classes on how cricket is actually played out of EA cricket.

And u need to come out in the reality and come out of EA cricket because i dont think you have seen enough of cricket in the past and following in the recent past ! And talking about haddin and warner there's alot of catches that have gone in between them ! And not only them every team has this issue some time ! Its an issue that can be resolved ! No point getting frustrated !

Is having no attempt at the catch is worse than dropping?

all I'm hearing from Sarfraz fans is that those two chances that he let go shouldn't be counted as drop catches and are trying to give message that they are not as worse as dropping the catch..What do you guys think? Isn't it a bigger crime than dropping a catch? I know results are same in the both cases but at least one tries the other one just seems a mere spectator with the gloves.
