Misbah really had a mediocre team under him in ODIs especially around 2015, with Sarfaraz I think its probably a much better team in terms of player to player match but team is under performing big time.

Misbah the services of a pre 15 degree Ajmal, Hafeez, a decent Afridi and an inform Junaid, Irfan. Sarfaraz in comparison has a much weaker bowling attack but a better batting line up but the only players Sarfaraz has from Misbah's era is Hafeez

Misbah had a quite weak batting line up. Sarfraz has match winners like Fakher and consistent players like Imam,Baber. Harris has been doing decent as well.

Those propagating Misbah and weak team should keep in mind he had a chcuking pair Ajmal Hafeez and Afridi the spin trio

Sarfraz stats are inflated because of Sri Lanka. Back in the Afridi-Misbah days Sri Lanka were WC finalists and had a good team.

It is not an issue of a lousy captain only but an unfortunate and mediocre team and that for quite some time. Pakistan needs to go back to the drawing board and fix something from the grass root level to fix this mess we are not good at Test cricket either.

Spin attack under Misbah was definitely better but pace bowling and batting werent that great. Aizaz Cheema, Imran Khan jnr, Rahat Ali, Past his ODI expiry Younus Khan, Imran Farhat, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali to name a few.

In 2012-2015 the problem was there was no talent coming through now we do have comparatively much better talent man to man wise in ODIs except spin department so we should be doing better.

See the post above after "minnows" are moved. Of course, posters who were too young (or not born) will not know that Shoaib Malik beat Zimbabwe 10-0 in two 5 ODI series.
Imran captained against the West Indies at it's peek. Sri Lanka was the only minnow Imran faced.
Please see where Imran is after current day minnows are removed.
