Shaheen Shah Afridi's 3/6 spell leaves Bangladesh reeling on 39/4 at Stumps on Day 3 of the 1st Test

Good stuff by bangladesh. If pakistan cant get any lead here , bd will be favourites to win.

Chasing anything over 150 in 4th innings will take a super effort. Have to minimize damage in 1st innings and look to bowl them out cheaply. Pakistan may be missing Yasir Shah the most on this track
 
Pakistani Batsmen lack release shots. If a bowler bowls 6 out of 6 deliveries in one spot with the same line, length trajectory, they will just be content to block, defend over after over before getting a delivery which has your name on it

I have seen the big 4 batsmen try many different things to put the bowler off and give him something to think about ie a sweep shot, reverse sweep, using your feet. Our batting approach stinks.

You need to have that kind of talent to be able to rotate the strike , ability to maneuver the ball
 
Tough session ahead. It was always going to be a difficult series however I did think Pakistani bowlers took it lightly at the tail end of the Bangladeshi innings. Too many short stuff was bowled which allowed them to score runs.

Pakistani spinners are minnow level, no talent at all. Bangladesh spinners are far better
 
Muhammad Nawaz is much better batsman than Faheem. He has shown his ability in FC and National T20.
 
Faheem had a decent purple patch but he is no long term option. The tail is too long with him at 7
 
Misbah younis would smash these spinners for reverse sweeps whole day with one hand and this is how our new players play spin
 
Wont be disappointed if Pak lose this one. They've played some really pathetic cricket today
 
Faheem is the most beautiful batsman to watch along with Rohit and KL Rahul when he is scoring free flowing boundaries.
 
Babar, Fawad and now Rizwan too flopped. What an awful batting line up. For those that mock Abid Ali, atleast he is getting runs what are the likes of Babar doing ?
 
Bowling straight at the stumps as a pacer on these Bangladeshi wickets with variable bounce is the way to go
 
This pitch is pretty tricky for batting now. Even Abid Ali on 131 is looking very restless and shaky. Abid and Abdullah batted too slowly yesterday
 
Abid Ali paid the price for lacking a release shot. The bowler knew exactly where to bowl to him to keep him quiet
 
The batsmen have no clue on how to play Taijul on this wicket and deal with his relentless line length on the stumps
 
C'mon yaar sneak out another 30-40 here please. Regardless we have to bowl our tails off in evening session.
 
This is y u don’t ask pak batsman to accelerate they collapse u should cherish minnow bashers like Abid Ali.

Pak have decided to become T20 specialists (theyr not even half decent at that) theyv been playing pathetic brand of test odi cricket for a while now!!
 
What were Babar and Rizwan waiting for? For BD bowlers to give up of boredom and start feeding them freebies?

Useless stinking approach that has lost us countless tests. Test match does not mean that you just need to stay at the wicket - you'll still win because of the RUNS you score or the wickets you takes!
 
Timid approach from Pakistan from the very beginning. Totally deserve this humiliation. Faheem needs to play his shots if he has any sense left

Yeah batting second on a spinning wicket you need to keep rotating strike as you are playing against time and conditions both.
 
Faheem, Nauman, Shaheen have got to try and play some shots and minimize the lead Bang get.
 
Both Ind-Nz and Pak-BD game going same way.
Home team scored decent score in first inning. Touring team started well with big opening partnership and then lost the way after.
I expect BD to take some 45-50 run lead in first inning and just like India struggle to score in second inning.
 
Conceding a big lead against Bangladesh and most likely losing this Test too. Shame on Pakistan Cricket team and Babar.
 
Those tail end runs from BD last night haunting us. Need to tick this down another 20 odd runs somehow. Hopefully our bowling comes through for BD second innings

Need to dismiss Bangladesh for under 100 in the next innings.
 
This match is evenly poised. Nauman and Fahim are capable batsmen. BD needs to wrap up quickly. At least take 35 runs lead. Psychological boost. BD will struggle in the 2nd innings likely. So Pakistan still has chance to come back strong
 
Taijul is a great spinner in these conditions. Other spinners are not that dangerous on the same pitch
 
Pakistan openers couldn't capitalise on tired bangla bowlers they saw what happened with bangladesh batting order still seems to have no plan whatsoever .

Can't see the live telecast here in India. How is the pitch behaving? What do you think will be a winning score in the 4th innings?
 
*** is the third umpire? The benefit of the doubt should have gone to the batsman
 
There was minimal to no evidence of it hitting the pad first but ALOT OF EVIDENCE of it changing direction with the edge
 
Seems deflected from bat .3rd umpire confused so he took onfield call
 
Bat was not rubbing the ball on pad it actually deflected the ball on to the pad and he still gave that OUT.
 
Poor umpiring... Always the case with local umpires officiating the game
 
Cricket is the only sport with so many ill defined laws and technicalities. There should be a clear translation of laws. And there should be straight fwd rule that is same in all close calls that either they should favour batsman or bowler or what
 
Only a blind man could say that it hit the pad first. It definitely deflected from the bat onto the pad. And that too a big one.. ad per replays. Athar Ali Khan as usual defending the umpire.
