Shashi Tharoor asks if PM Modi can attend marriage in Lahore, why can’t India play cricket with Pak

Nice. So you chose to highlight and respond to throwaway line in the post, but ignored the main question I asked. So I'll ask again so we stay on topic: which law is India breaking by not agreeing to bilateral series with Pakistan?

Also, existence of this forum and my posting in it doesn't change the fact that Pakistan has lived under a military rule during majority of its existence. Moreover this forum is run out of the UK I believe. In Pakistan, you can't watch youtube and other major social media sites. Even today, in 2017! I think we all know how free is Pakistan.

Yeah this isn't true... Fake News, as it's called nowadays. :trump

Anyway, let's get the thread back to the cricket please.

Your whole argument is flawed as it is based on the premise that I am somehow defending Pakistan's misdeeds, Make no mistake your highness, but one misbehavior should not be used to justify, and should not form the basis of another. An eye for an eye, makes the whole world blind - Gandhi (I believe he is your version of Jinnah, or is it Nehru?)

Two flawed comparisons in one post.

First of all, Gandhi is not a "version" of anyone. He's peerless. I'm not saying it, people like Albert Einstein do. Google it.

Secondly, "eye for an eye" analogy doesn't work here. When Pak boycotted India earlier over the illegal Babri structure in Ayodhya, India didn't go around crying & complaining to ICC and threatening legal action. We shrugged our shoulders and moved on to the next series. When Pak boycotted 1980 Olympics, India happily participated and won the gold medal.

It's only Pakistan that's crying now. There is no reason to cry, but hey it's your right -- so go right ahead and do it.

Agree with your post. But...
1) Most Pakistanis have a problem with India boycotting series against PAK but playing them in ICC tournaments.
2) Gandhi and Jinnah are widely regarded in the same retrospect as English educated lawyers who came back to their lands and forged nations for their people. The reason Gandhi is more famous on a truly global stage is because of his non-violence philosophy and the 1983 movie. In that same movie, Jinnah is portrayed as a jealous and pompous individual and even the actor himself said it was not a historical depiction of the man himself. But for most foreigners, that was the only glimpse of Jinnah they will ever see or have seen.

Pak should do something about this hypocrisy and refuse to play India in the ICC tournaments. This is the only thing under Pak's control and they should send a message to ICC/BCCI by boycotting games against India in the ICC tournaments.
