So instead of acknowledging their repeated failures across all format Rizwan & Babar wants to return to T20 cricket to humiliate Pakistan cricket once again. I am wondering what authority Rizwan wants, he already got all his preferred players in the team. Saud is once again discarded from ODIs after CT

Then you also dont own the success that is due to someone else's selection and direction. Rizwan is lapping up the success enabled to him by Aqib and the selection committee for the wins in Australia and South Africa. Its his only bargaining tool at the moment to keep him going.
 
His recent interview in the PSL captain's conference.

What is he trying to do? Isolate the Selection committee and the management against 'all of the media and awaam'? Is this guy clearly not a Fitna? Is he clearly not doing the same rubbish as the guy locked up in cell 804? @RizwanT20Champ

I just pointed the fact beause his friend @Rana claimed that he can name 33 players from any region and ended up naming Sarfaraz.,asad shafiq,fawad alam and khurram manzoor from Karachi.

Sam konstas is the only one on this list who doesnt fit the bill of being superior but he will surpass everyone. Its inevitable. A 19 year old youngster who can troll Bumrah is automatically more talented then anyone we have produced for a while.

It's a sad fact that WKs and bowlers generally don't make good captains. Obviously there are exceptions but this fact alone should make the decision makers think twice. At this point in time no captain can do anything with this bowling line-up. We have no genuine World class bowlers and our spinners are even more useless than our pacers.

bilateral series are used to for practicing and grooming players, some players will do well some will not will not that's how teams are built.

how are you building the team for the world cup by not giving others a chances or not grooming youngsters by using gheese peete players like rizwan babar shaheen rauf and naseem

Agreed, but only if the experienced bunch isn't a bag of munch potatoes.

Someone like Sam Konstas can benefit from having Travis Head as his Test opener since Head can teach him how to tackle Bumrah, Indian pacers and how to dominate in home conditons.

Their both similar players as well, both like to play aggressively however konstas loves lacing pace by advancing or playing lofted strokes.

What are Babar and Rizwan suppose to teach Saim?

If someone averages 10-15 with the bat in 4 day format, it means they are kachra regardless of whatever they have done in domestic T20s. Not sure why you cant get the concept of kachra in your head.

Saim is now an established entity.

Babar and Riz can play a huge role in development of other youngsters. There are 2-3 spots up for grabs in the batting line up for all formats.

Pick someone who has done the miles in domestic 4 day cricket. Unfortunately we dont have a suitable lower order hitter that ticks all the boxes.

Based on current resources I would rather pick KG, TT or Farhan as our hitters then kachras like M Haris & Samad.

But that’s not the positions they specialise in?? How can you pick Defenders/Centre backs to play as strikers in football? How do you want to make sense of this?

Sahibzada is an opener. Why should he play as a number 5-7?

TT is a middle order batsman, he is struggling at 6-7

KG is a number 3 batsman, he was removed from the national team because he failed 2-3 games at number 6-7


How is this working???

Rizwan and Babar should have no place in T20Is. Begging Naqvi for their place is next level of zillat.

Rizwan should have raised his concern on lack of powers when they were taken away from him (before tri series). He had two overseas series wins to support his pov then. Now he doesn't have any moral authority.

This 'puppet captain' experiment of PCB will fail just like current puppet government is failing. Cricket is not football where manager runs the show.

Naqvi said in his first address to the players that he won’t tolerate any negative reports about them from the senior management. If this clown wants to run off to Naqvi and complain, well all it takes Aqib to put in one bad word and that will be the end for Rizwan in ODI too. Pretty sure guys like Wahab and Azhar Ali do not like Rizwan too much either. PR Journalist of Rizwan have repeatedly reported that there are senior influential members of the PCB that were reluctant in giving the green light to Rizwan in captaincy

If he thinks that he will pull off some kind of Anil Kapoor Nayak stunt. Best of luck to him. It’s going to end in tears.

Basit Ali in his latest podcast indirectly revealed (or made a strong assumption) that Rizwan has been removed from captaincy. He alluded to why Rizwan has been venting out a lot of frustration in his last couple of interviews.

Basit Ali is one family and personal terms with Rizwan, he might actually know something that we dont.

Army chief should captain the team in all honesty. That's the only position in Pak that remains stable for a substantial duration of time.

Ideally the acronym in this case should be TINBA- there is no better alternative.

I doubt if he asked for absolute power. I don’t think in 2025 it is possible like it did in 80s for some captains like Imran and Lloyd.

Even MS Dhoni, Ponting type captains didn’t have absolute power.

A captain should have atleast some say in team selections, playing X1 combos. I don’t see anything wrong if captain asks for it. It’s only fair.

Rizwan could be removed from ODI captaincy in favour of Agha because he blamed Selectors and coaching staff for not allowing him authirity to manage the Team and strategies to his liking, and Aqib will too but not sure who will go first.
