i was on my way home from college. while walking i saw anuprooted tree, i realised we had got off lightly. i few more balls from afridi would have seen another hole in the ozone layer and probably a new ice age.

Manzoor is doing well but i reckon he is a bit too slow for a modern day opener

Consolidator at one can be afforded by any side to open, but other end needs to attack.

Ideally i prefer both openers to attack. Consolidation doesnt work any more. Hafeez tried to be to smart for himself and often got out after wasting 40 deliveries for 5-6 runs. Sorry i prefer openers to get out for 20-30 runs at a run a ball or quicket than a run a ball, most importantly i prefer openers who bat according to the team situation and not for personal records or scores.

The pairing of Jamshed and Butt worked pretty well. Malik as an opener in my view was ok but Butt went to far in terms of consolidation. Openers should be instructed not to hold back as far as shots are concerned.
