South Africa beat Pakistan by 13 runs (DLS method) in the third ODI to take 2-1 series lead

Just a question hafeez bowled in 2nd match when opposition was 80-5 (6-36 one of the reason we lost) why didn’t he bowled in first match(2overs) and today
 
more covers, match is over now

SA 2-1, they lead the series
 
Amla getting out early may have helped SA here.
 
Hope we get battered 4-1 deserve it even imams century was soo selfish man's a joke we need players like nauman anwar and zeeshan malik not this fool who just plays at snails pace. Bother batting and bowling are mediocre

Nauman Anwar?

I remember him failing miserably the last time was given a shot. Has he made any new progress in domestics to warrant a comeback?
 
why is Riley Roussouw not part of RSA? He is lighting up the BPL currently and was always good with the bat for RSA.

I think its fair we lost... SA batted really well until that point and would have completed the run chase in 47th over without amy problems

Put it this way nauman anwar us better than the cannon fodder we have got atm. He might have a poor average in domestic but he streets ahead of someone like imam who is a very selfish player and probably the worst opener i have ever seen open for pakistan and this is not an over reaction plain facts

You can’t be sure.

Their RR with two set batsman operating at 90+SR is 5.7.

The required RR is 7.7.

Spot on they actually battered us out bowlers had no penetration at all. Gun barrel straight no pace painful to see. I mean even rana naved and ifthikar annum were better than this crap atleast they put up a fight
 
Rain spoiled sport for SA in CT17 and now for pak even then SA looked dominating here in this chase so far with hendricks taking the game away + Sarfi serving them pies by bowling shadab over and over again....
 
May be Pakistan Will have to settle with yet another Moral Victory.
ICC should seriously consider awarding points for moral victories. Pakistan will top both the odi and

Are you for real. You do know that match dynamic changes with rain. When you are playing against rain you play a T10 game and slog a lot and if it's your day you will miss the fielders.

SAs rr was 5 at time of stoppage, and they required above 7. Could have turned into a classic game of cat and mouse but sadly rain stops it and DL gets SA the win.
 
So it’s now 6 games and counting without Amir picking up a wicket in ODI cricket.

I’d be interested to see the record for the most consecutive games a bowler has gone without picking up a ODI wicket.

RRR wad almost 8 an over. So frustrating.
Sad way to start the weekend!

Luck is not on our side lately. Lets hope we get the lucky charm back soon!

They got into that position due to rain ruining the match. If they had to return second time I am sure the run rate would have been a lot steeper and difficult to chase.

Watching enough of both sides bat, it really does put everything into perspective especially in regards to Imam's ton. A useless and selfish ton that resembles the one scored by Amla during the first ODI.

Of all the players who scored 30+ he had the lowest strike rate which says it all, yet his fans on here were going all bhangra as if he had won Pakistan the series.
 
We need Saad, Saud and Rizwan in place of Fakhar, Malik and Hafeez. This is the only way forward.
 
Rain robbed us of an interesting chase. Saf might have chased it but pakistan were unlucky.again. de kock getting bowled but not bowled, rain making batting easier and then dl method.

Imam was playing a 50 over game and with the start we got and ability to collapse Imam did fine. SA were only about 59 from 10 overs without any wickets lost. So it's not like they were scoring 10 an over. Before rain came Pak were on top and had the run rate in check. After that it was just a T10 game for SA with rain always round the corner so no doubt they opted to slog out. Pak had the game in bag before rain and Imam inning would have been the biggest factor had the rain not robbed them.
 
Malik does not seem to be in good form, needs to be replaced by Shan. Then team is ok from this squad.
 
Shoaib Malik has cost Pak the match but the bechara Bhatija is getting bashed by the opportunists

No lol Faheem is not as good as Amir. Not even half as good.

I still think Faheem has been hard done by. He hasn't gotten an opportunity to come in around the 40th over with the bat. We wasted so much time on the hack Asif that Faheem could've cemented his place by now. Unfortunately the bowling from him has been average.

Honestly I might want Faheem in for Shadab next match (depending on pitch) because Shady has a huge tendency to get hit and he is a liability with the bat.

For half of his innings his SR was under was well below 80 and hovering around 50-60 for a while. If you call that playing a 50 over game then we're 20 years behind the modern game!

He also claimed Shadab > Imad with the bat. In ODIs there is no way the former is better with his abysmal SR of 67.

Amir has totally lost it. I'd be delighted to be proven wrong though.

But yeah exactly, Faheem hasn't even had a single opportunity to play a cameo like the one Imad played today. Every game he's played in either the top order has collapsed and he's come in halfway through the innings, or he hasn't needed to come in at all.

I blame the wet conditions for Shadab getting hit. Indian spin twins also failed when with the wet ball too last year.
