Read the article on few places... this will be a huge step forward ....

I hope we host them in stadiums away from the regulars...

maybe Multan-Rawalpindi-Karachi? (Karachi to have atleast 1 game in the big stadium)

Instead of T20, PCB should try for ODIs with SAF. In T20s, they might send an under strength squad and games will be one sided. Also, arranging T20 with SAF doesn’t add much to the progress of bringing cricket in Pakistan - a 3 game ODI series can.

T20s with Afghanistan & Ireland is fine; may be couple of Tests as well.

With the T20 World Cup coming, this is an excellent opportunity to have South Africa come up for the first time in ages and to test out some possible combinations.

I understand, but the conditions are totally opposite- if anything, it’ll only establish moha - Malik at 3 & 4 for Australia. Also, SAF might again send Jr Dala & Co for T20s. I can bet, even if SAF sends their U19 team, Misbah will pick MoHa-Malik and chances are high he’ll recall Amir-Wahab. Best case is to play ODI with SAF and then try to play a reverse series in SAF, just before T20 WC - this time T20.

I don't think Malik and Hafeez are going anywhere. Can't let selection matters dictate the bigger picture - two birds with one stone.

A series in SA right before the WC would be ideal though.

Great news, not just for Pakistan but for the game of Cricket! Hoping at least Ireland will accept the invite.

I am big fan of the Irish cricket team. It's very sad we don't get to see them enough in International cricket despite their solid performances against top teams like their perfomance in england in one off test and t20 series in Windies

South Africa are considering a short tour to Pakistan to play three T20Is in late March

PCB have confirmed to us that South Africa are considering a short tour to Pakistan to play three T20Is in late March. South Africa will send a security delegation to Pakistan next month to assess whether the situation is considered safe enough for South Africa to tour the country.

According to sources, a delegation headed by security expert Rory Steyn will travel to Pakistan and will present their findings to CSA on their return. The group will attempt to gain first-hand information on the logistics involved, team's hotel arrangements, transportation to the grounds and in-stadium experience by attending ongoing matches.

Great news for Pakistan.

PCB needs to arrange these small tours against different sides and keep on gaining momentum.

Could be a game-changer as it's not one of the Asian teams giving touring Pakistan the thumbs up.

Wow this is great news! Cannot even remember the last time Saffers visited us. The first non-Asian team visiting Pakistan would do wonders to the image of Pakistan cricket.

I also thought pcb were trying to convince the kiwis for a short tour too, anyone know if that is in the pipeline too? We need to approach all the non-big3 countries to keep up this momentum and then gradually get the big3 in for tours.

Didn't the West Indies visit Pakistan in 2017 or something ?

When are Saffers touring Pakistan for tests though? Saffers play a disproportionately high percentage of tests at home, higher than anyone else. Last time they played Pakistan in UAE was in 2013.

SA consider touring Pakistan for three T20Is in March

Another development and great news!
Would love to see some high quality action packed t20Is. :asad1:faf :hamster:

Will be great if it happens.

That's not happening. Nz tour .

They did so in 2005 or 2006.

SAF toured Pakistan in October 2007.

In fact - it was the last full completed tour of Pakistan before the isolation years.

MMHS I think SA will also be keen to try out their better options in preparation for the WC. They are at a different phase than Pak atm and don’t have a settled T20 XI, but they will be trying to put their best players out there, I am sure.

Wasim Khan regarding the proposed tour by South Africa:

With South Africa expected to tour Pakistan in late March for a three-match T20I series, the PCB Chief Executive revealed that he had pitched Rawalpindi as a venue for the matches to Cricket South Africa.

“The tour of South Africa is very much a waiting game now and by the end of the month we should have a clear position. Their head of security is expected in Pakistan during the initial games of the HBL Pakistan Super League. He has all the security plans for each of the different venues.

“He and the board of South Africa are very comfortable with touring. We have to make it work logistically as South Africa finish the tour of India on 18 March and we don’t finish the HBL PSL till 22 March.

“For them to go back and come again won’t be possible so we will have to see whether we can have them sit in the UAE for six or eight and provide them the support and practice facilities or we fly them straight in here and provide all that here.

Sounds very promising. This should be a good short tour in preparation of the WC.
