South Africa end Day 2 of the 2nd Test at 382/6 as Pakistan bowlers toil with little success

Ok back to the game. We are looking at a heavy defeat here if we don't get atleast two more wickets before South Africa take a lead.

Amir stilll bowling faster than Sohail did in first spell.

His pace never drops in second, third spells. He is bowling at the same speed he was bowling his first spell, he just clocked 138 Kph.
 
Our batsmen are better as we edged so many times and these saffers have missed similar deliveries.
We at least got bat to the ball
 
It's just shameful and embarrassing to see that we have stopped producing 145+ bowlers. Watching our bowlers bowl at 130kph is just sad.

We should've taken a 37 year old Sami who would've atleast bowled with pace and fire.
 
Yeah South African is getting a 100 run lead, and we might not make even that on this pitch :)))
 
Here comes Saifis and Micky's masterstroke, doubt he'll be anything but disappointing.
 
Why is Yasir playing if he is not going to bowl. Sarfraz have not even tried to see how SA bats Yasir as they do struggle against spin. Not even trying different thing bowlers is a loss.

But according to some here even your medium pacers like Shinwari bowl upto 150kmph.

We are not saying it. The speed guns in Big Bash is saying that. Unless ofcourse you believe they are not trust-worthy, which would mean Bumrah's speeds this series aren't genuine too. Dilemma?
 
If SA gets a lead of 150+ innings defeat is loading. South African will be hitting the cracks hard and with speed.

How many bowlers around the world bowl consistently 150mph. Not many infact apart from dale steyn i have not seen many aprt from lee and akhtar. Those times are gone, pakistan pacers biggest problem is playing in uae and on sub standard pitches affecting pak pacers pace and length. We need to come out of uae and play our cricket at our home grounds where weather and conditions are similar to SA and we can produce pitches likes SA and improve.

It's better than a 128 KPH grunt from Amir. At least Usman Khan visibly gives it his all. You can see the passion in his eyes. With Amir, he just takes bowling in Test matches like it's a 9-5, run in and hope for the best type of bowling.
 
We have bowled well today but needed the 4th quick. Unlucky not to get more wickets and it could get tricky after lunch for us

If amir grunts one more time while bowling 130s I am gonna lose it. Crank it up a little ***!
 
This game/pitch is crying out for a match winning bowling spell a’la shoaib akhtar joburg spell in 97 quick 5 wckts... instead we have mighty masood bowling 40mph thunderbolts.

Funny thing is come an icc event theyl find an extra 10mph/reverse swing... seems like they don’t care about these bilaterals. Same with mitch Starc these days!

Last match you could hear him claim he bowled one of the deliveries 128k. Coming to match bowlers are not bowling bad we just playing a team familiar with home conditions and having more grit and technique than Pak batters.

Faf’s decision to bowl first was half vindicated when they got PCT out for 177.. if SA take a size able lead ( say > 150) then it will be fully vindicated.. if SA lose the match he will take a lot of criticism...
 
No better attack to regain some form for Faf du plessis . All other top attacks bowl a bit quicker than this even if this is not an easy batting track.

As the last test match will be a dead rubber, it's really a good chance to drop certain players from the team

It's a good thing Pakistan don't play 4/5 match series too. Not everyone can maintain pace throughout a full test series.
 
Stupid talk about pace. Amir has slowed down just because he has bowled so much this test and the last, it happens. We have seen him bowl quickly in his early spells as well as in England. People need to watch more cricket.

The bigger issue is the team is missing a bowler.
 
Watch Amir bowling in the late 140s when the PSL comes. He's doing this on purpose. I feel like we're watching Bangladeshi or Zimbabwean bowlers bowl.
 
Yasir seems like a pointless inclusion. Should have had Faheem and Shadab here instead. Might even have gotten an extra 30 odd runs in the first innings.
 
This is why I rate Hasan despite his occasional waywardness. Very consistent pace that doesn't drop off after 3 innings of bowling . Aamir was rested for all 5 UAE tests and still can't sustain pace.
 
Yasir should never be picked outside Asia again. People underrate Kaneria a lot - he was much better overseas.
 
Everyone knew Yasir should have been picked. He is toothless outside of the UAE and his batting has also regressed even more considering there was a time where he could hold his own as a batter
 
Abbas's figures were 1-49 in 10 overs at one point. To bowl the next 10 overs for 13 runs is really something and he almost had a wicket. I think he just needs to bowl half a foot or so fuller. Right now he doesn't pose the stumps enough of a threat.
 
Why are commies discussing old India England series in this test where neither team is playing?
 
Innings defeat in these conditions will be incredibly humiliating.
