Honestly I think its marsh's ego. Their is no reason why he cant slot down at no 3
 
SA have a brilliant top 6. A very balanced bowling line up. One of the best teams in ODI's.

On the other side, this Australian team looks very weak, withtout bowling (apart from Hazlewood), with good batting and Hardie as the only all rounder.
Don't think Green and Marsh are bowling.

New generation of South African player are very good while Australian new crops are Mostly tullebaaz

South Africa team is nicely building for World Cup 2027 at home

Cutting the costs.unless Aussies are sure that crowd will fill the stadium, venues are allocated else where.Aus have white ball tour of ind and ashes later.so they are protecting the pitches and making sure all of big ones are available for those tour.Normally aus won't play in aug but they are making enough room before those tours.pak too got good venues as they have enough support.

Head Warne get's 4 wicket. Now he has become useless player with bat after the Fluke purple patch ,so now he should become part timer bowler.

Huh?

Pakistan got the main stadiums because the footy season was over. Cricket isn't seen as a winter sport over here and the AFL has arrangements in place during the footy season to play mostly at the main stadiums. Once the footy season is over at the end of September usually, the AFL's arrangements conclude until they start up again next season. The cricket arrangements generally fall in between those periods.

Why the series was arranged in August in first place? Have u ever saw an cricket series in August in aus ? Aus knows sa dont fill the stadium. So they can allot any venue

No one overrates him. He's a good player and a good find but he is a downgrade from David Warner but an upgrade over Aaron Finch.

I just enjoy pulling @Devadwal and @Vikram1989 legs. Because of me, they now proactively observe Head and comment anytime he gets out and I get a laugh thats all.

They are trying out a new schedule, which is my point. Cricket isn't seen as a winter sport over here so, the AFL already has existing arrangements in place to host games/training/etc. Why would the AFL compromise that on short notice and risk upsetting the teams/fans/players?

Plus, there is a push to promote the Top End in general so, this serves as a perfect opportunity to do so.

T20 hacks struggling in ODI cricket yet again. Didn't work for England. Not working for the OZ either.

McDonald , Bailey and others need to come to their senses, for Australia's sake, and pick a proper middle order batsman like Renshaw instead of backing only powerhitters. Keep that for T20 cricket.

This Saffer attack is not even that good.

What afl have to do with profits generation .if sa vs Australia can get mcg full crowd, why any one will arrange a series in remote place .They will have it later atleast. Only Lanka, bng, nz played in Darwin, Cairns.Acb may try to extend the cricket season but this is due to low profit margin.

You would think Australia of all cricketing nations would know that - a country that has won 6 World Cups and produced some of the greatest , most dynamic middle order ODI batsmen - Bevan, Clarke, Hussey etc.

CA and AFL have a mutual agreement in place for MCG. AFL mostly occupies the stadium during the footy season and CA gets access during the cricket season. August/September especially are crucial footy season months so they bring in bring alot of viewership/revenue.
