Bat till hour or so after lunch tomorrow, score 150-200 runs in that time, and then declare, I think, is a good plan.
The follow on should have been enforced.
Only draw or Aussie win possible. So tired of meekly folding over like this, only Faf and Vern showed any fight. Well done to the Aussies though, I guess they deserve to win, all things considered.
We shouldn't be in a position where we have to fight back in the 2nd innings - it's been happening far too often recently because they're not performing in the 1st innings. And it doesn't help when you lead bowler is injured and the others are looking lifeless. This series has been that way. Aus folded meekly twice and SA folded meekly 3 times so far. What SA does in the last inning of this series will decide the final result.
Not sure if there'll be time for a big chase, unless Aus scores at about 100 per session and declares at tea tomorrow. That should leave about 400 to chase in 4 sessions. Can't rule out a successful chase for SA here, they have chased 400+ against us before and should have chased 450+ vs india.
Their best bet might actually be keeping it real tight in the morning session, clarke unlike most skippers won't necessary bat SA out of the game, i think he should but if things are moving slowly and push comes to shove he will make a declaration SA can chase.

Yeah it's unlikely but if we lost early wickets(warner in particular) early and got bogged down i could actually see clarke setting SA 400 or even less.
I can't see us batting till tea no matter how slow the run rate.
We did roll them in a bit over 2 1/2 sessions today. 4 sessions might be enough to bowl them out unless they go Faf-style and block which they didn't today. They were trying to play their shots today.
It's still a good batting wicket IMO.
Can't wait to see India, England and Australia as the top 3 in Test Cricket..![]()
nice troll looser, we saw what your pathetic team did in NZ, SA and England![]()
Tameez se baat kar hero. Btw.. even after all that, India is one of the top 3, shows how crap others are.![]()
