Pandya's selection is justified (of course no one of us had complaints about him playing in place of 2nd spinner) We can't complain about his rash shots, if only our top order batted for a bit longer, his runs would have been valuable and he would have been more effective with older ball and tired bowlers. Also no issues with 5 bowlers strategy (or Pandya as 4th seamer). It is the atrocious way of dropping Rahane and Rahul (Well they didn't drop Rahane in home series when he was failing, but now? Is it a ploy to kill his confidence completely?)

I did not expect this. Taking calculated risks on a surface like this against 4 hostile bowlers. May be his inexperience somewhat helped him. Probably didn't overthink. Already done more than expected from him. This is one of those tests where you have to keep forgetting the previous ball. Otherwise you will be screwed up.
