Jad for Shami would have won this Test for sure. 1st Test was different, because I felt SAF was a bit unlucky with 3rd day washed out and starting early on day 4, on a rain soaked wicket.

You are talking about comfort zone, I am for max. 170 sort of target depends on batting attitude lot - you can make it look like 220, or 120. I think,in 2005, PAK was chasing 190 or so and made a joke of that chase 80-5 or so at 2.0 - then YK & Kamran scored 110+ in less than run a minute .....

If the target is say 151, i would have asked batsmen to go after on such track, so that every boundary hurts twice.

Pressure on the home curator

Would like some insights. Looking at the current test match, FAF would be fuming at the curator for giving an Indian pitch. How much pressure is there on the home curator to make a balanced wicket. If he makes a wicket where the bowl is seaming around for home team, then the match gets done in 3 days and is effecting the tv ratings as well.

If he makes a wicket such as India vs SAF 2nd test then he gets criticized for handing the advantage to the opposition.

I think he (Tamim) found his mojo around two years ago and form that time onwards he has become a more mature and responsible player and tries to create impact in matches he plays.

Shehzada on the other hand is struggling to find his mojo but I believe if he ever finds it he will be good to watch. I know people will judge me for this statement but as I said if that ever happens only then we will be able to argue, his mindset is the problem if he starts to focus on creating an impact in a responsible manner during the match then playing like a vegetable in pursuit saving his position he will be a different player.
