South Africa vs India | 3rd test Day 2 | Kanpur| 12/4/2008

You better stay away from it concentrate on the tread topic. Ever feel like making another racism related accusation, take the pains of opening a new thread and I will give you what you need. Dont just go about making accusations in any thread.

Oh shut up . Nothing more pathetic than people posturing on the internet .

India seems to have a stable pathnership here...good for them.

they can slowly go on top here...however a couple wickets can make it like a knife edge

You shut up and stay shut. You dont have any manners I see. You bring up racism issues and when I ask you to open another thread if you must discuss it, you are asking me to shut up?

let's just watch the game...like I said..no interest in helping you understand things....your stupidity is something for your friends and family to tolerate...

Why are you dragging my family here? You are crossing limits of decency. Are you retarded or what?

Ok stop Saffer - really pushing the limits here.

Talk cricket please - else summary dismissal is on the cards.

india really in the driving seat here...any lead and i'm sure they will win this game...S.A won't last on this pitch against bhaji and the boys....

don't take things out of context...of course i'm not insulting your family and don't try and manipulate it into anything sinister...I'm trying to tell you I'm not interested in talking to you ....take the hint .

If you are not interesting in talking to me, then stop replying to my posts. You dont have to drag my family into it and call me names. You can not come, insult and then say that you are not interested in talking to me.

Saffer and Surfer - tongue twisters or what !

Back to cricket pls.

S.A need to get one of these two quickly or india could get a lead of 50 plus....huge on this pitch.....

+ or - 50 of SA score and India are in a good position to square the series.

I think yuvraj struggles against left arm spinner expecially. I seen him play some pretty nice stokes vs murali in a test on a pretty good spinning track. So I think thats why he got owned by brad hogg in australia.

well i some what agree...michael clark got him a few times!

If Dhoni makes a valuable 50 and wins the test match I wonder if the selectors will make him the new test captain as well.

S.A are struggling to get wickets now. But india won't struggle with all their spinners . Unless S.a can bat brilliantly in their second innings this is looking incresingly like India should win this one .

Dhoni is already in the running and I am sure his batting will only keep improving.

If india give up another big opening stand it could put pressure on newbie chawla. I think south africa will have a good shot even if india take a 20-30 run lead.

And no, dont blame the wicket. Its one of the best test match wickets that I've seen for a long time (along with the one at Perth). If you're good enough and attack, you perform.

Not sure - the amount of dust that goes up shows that the wicket is about to turn into a dust bowl by day 3

I suppose what you can say is that teams should be able to play on all kinds of wickets.

S.A may as well take the new ball...seems to be nothing happened with this,,the pitch is no offering the seamers much with the old ball .

well i guess to indians team only performs when they have there backs againt the wall!!

Dhoni giving it away - how long before the next new ball ?

just saw on TV - 3 more overs to go for new ball - will be interesting

India should realize that SA dont need a second invite to get going again. Crucial that they go into a lead now - ganguly must farm the strike.

What a lousy shot from Donnyboy - and this idiot is supposed to be the brave new leader of India? Leader of what? lemmings?

he just doesnt't understand test cricket - in oz, too defensive when he needed to be aggressive, and here overambitious when he had to see out the day.

u ever seen inzamam falling over his stumps??and getin stumped ocassionally getting run out?...but still the guy remains th best captain after imran for pakistan and the greatest batsman for pakistan.......this is what u call lapse of concntration and he will learn ..give him some time....he made 32 and those are very valuable runs!!

Sorry but the pitch looks like moonscape to me

New ball has been taken - let the fun begin. Steyn to bowl

Ball staying very low - almost bowled Ganguly - tough few overs for India to negotiate now

that was unnecessary from yuvraj!

RA declares Yuvi is still a hack. Did well to make 32 though, nearly equalled his career average. I am yet to see any signs from Yuvraj that he is mentally capable of being a Test batsman.

india lead!! well played ganguly..he just has to now make sure india take a substantial lead...and he goes on to make a hundred!

Steyn really does amaze me. Its DAMN hot and he's bowling his fastest spell at the end of the day topping at 151 kmph.

i guess hes not there to impress you! 32 valuable runs on a difficult wicket is a good effort....though i think he could have carried on...

bhaji gone. Can S.A keep it under 50 ? If they can then they still have a chance to win this , but they will have tio have a lot of luck . Would love to see india chasing 200 on this pitch on the 4th day ...would make for a great game....but to be honest that's not likely to happen ...I can't see S.a scoring much more than 150 .Even that might be "testy" as a score to chase though .

Just as a point of note, Australia (and I believe the majority of the other Test playing nations) have never selected a wicket keeper to captain the side except on a short term basis. The thinking is that a wicket keeper in Test cricket has too much to concentrate on when fielding - and needs time to mentally relax when his team is batting - without making him think about being captain as well. Does Dhoni have too much on his mind - a bazillion ODI's to play, 20/20 IPL, Test cricket, media, endorsements? He has played a couple of pretty poor shots to get out lately.

i never liked ganguly's batting...but today he has prooven me wrong! great pull shot..

Maybe but then look at Ganguly. Yuvraj has a heap more natural talent than Ganguly but Ganguly is making runs when the team needs him and Yuvi played some pretty shots and got out.

Ganguly playing a gem here and deserves a 100. 50+ lead here for india would be pivotal in such a knife-edge balanced game.

Really good bowler. I was a bit dubious for a while as I haven't seen much of his bowling (and beating up on New Zealand is the privelege of all fast bowlers) but I am convinced. Best bowler in world cricket at the moment, much rather him than Brett Lee.
